help!!!!! iphone 4 battery stuck at 95%

hello everyone,

few hours ago, i find out a problem with my iphone 4. i have it plugged to the power outlet, let it charge for like almost 2 hours, 30 mins. however, the battery percentage only shown 95%. i leave it for couple mins again, but the phone only increase by !%. i surfed google and read from somewhere. i think its macforum. there are two links here.

the forum suggest me to turn the phone off then on again whenever the iphone battery percentage is stuck when it is charged. thus, i turned it off and on again and somehow the battery showing 100% back. what i want to know here is, is it normal for iphone 4 to have this kind of behavior? some of them even said that this might be due to the iphone 4 battery is not calibrated correctly. please kindly help me this issue, people! i will really appreciate any answers from u guys. thanks.

I'm also having the same problem with the battery being stuck at 93-95% only after charging overnight. I tried draining the battery and fully charged it afterwards. It fixed the problem but after a week, it's back again to 93-95% charging again. Should I re-calibrate again? Pls help. Thanks!

not sure if this will help anyone - but i had my 4S stuck at random percentages - 94/95/96 .. having left plugged in for hours and hours.

just asked the genius bar real quick if they had saw this - and he - without asking - went into my settings and "reset all settings " (found in settings - general - reset)

after this things started acting better - can't speak if battery life got any better... dont really pay lots of attention to it.

also - i did a hard reset or two - while plugged in.. i'll explain

plugged in for 3 or so hours - still at 94 percent. left plugged in. (computer off to prevent wi-fi syncing) held power and home button till phone reset (apple logo showing up, must hold longer than when showing "slide to power off"

waited half an hour... bumped up to 97/98 percent. but still not 100... did *another* hard reset while plugged in. battery reached 100%.

again, make sure your computer isn't on so you're not interrupting any syncing while doing this. let me know if this helps!

Yes, this needs to be done fairly often - at least once a month. You will find the battery percentage stays at 100% for longer once you calibrate the battery.

wjosten, i somehow have the feeling that the percentage now is stuck at 100%. i have turned on gps, wifi, 3g, bluetooth and brightness to the max already. what do u think, wjosten?

Let it run down until the phone shuts off on its own. Then, fully re-charge it. If you have a video on your phone, start playing that over and over to speed the discharge up.

the battery finally has gone down to 94%. will update again if there's any change.
