iPhoto '11 — View Keywords doesn't work, they're missing!

I just upgraded to iLife '11 — in iPhoto, keywords no longer appear under the pictures. I can toggle "View Ratings" on/off and I see the stars. However, the keywords are missing!

Anyone else having this problem?!? I am disappoint.

Removing keywords from the thumbnails is a disaster. You are no longer able to quickly determine in an event or album what photos need keywords or need changes in Keywords. Having to click each photograph to see if it has a keyword and what the keyword(s) are is a HUGE waste of time.

This has made iPhoto unusable to catalog pictures. Having to click on each picture in a 100 photo album or event to see if a keyword has been assigned is a joke -- takes what was once a 5 minute process and made it several hours! I was on the way to cataloging 13,500 pictures. I have stopped.

That only works if there are no keywords. A lot of times I go back and add additional keywords. If this was done on purpose, and I still think it wasn't, then Apple really made a mistake. As a photo organizer is should be extremely easy to organize you photos. Having to click each photo to see the keywords associated with it is just ridiculous.

I sure hope this was a mistake and Apple fixes it in one of their patches.

Not having keywords under thumbnails makes iPhoto '11 almost useless to me as I depend on them when viewing, sorting and indexing my 3000+ photos. We need to find out if/when this is going to be fixed. If it is indeed a defect and will be fixed, I'll stick with iPhoto. But, of not, I need to move to something else or revert back to iPhoto '10.

In my opinion, iPhoto '11 is a disaster (especially when you add the fact that Calendars cannot be made and I depend on those for holiday gifts).

Yes - I am having the same problem. I hate that the keywords do not show up under the pictures like they used too. And I also find it inconsistent because the other two options in the menu do show up when checked. The other thing I find odd is the fact that they removed the rotate button and the split/merge options. What were they thinking? I used these every time I imported pictures... I am sure many other people did too! It's not like the interface was getting to crowded or anything. Ugh.

Morning all,
I just started one month ago with Mac.
I transferred all my pictures from my PC to iPhoto and started to organize my collections using keywords and this was a very nice feature to sort them out.

I bought iLife 11 update last week and I have upgraded iphoto to 9.1.

As every body over there I have been surprised to don't be able to display my keywords under thumbnails even if the option was set on.
I spent few hours to try to understand what I was doing wrong but even in help could not find any information.

Why are the keywords not displayed anymore in the main view?

I can see that I am not alone to be unhappy with this update, I was happy to upgrade to 9.1 but I am now little bit disappointed!!

Should I move back to Google Picasa?? 😟

Another iPhoto release -- and they still haven't fixed this problem.

This is a major issue. I can't believe they have not resolved it. I wish I could downgrade back to the old iPhoto. I lost my Bullstorm Keyword manager functionality and the keywords underneath the photos. Makes managing photos almost useless.

What's going on Apple?

That's a 3rd party app and the makers need to update it, just like they did with the last update to iPhoto. And just like the last update to iPhoto they are slow in either updating the app or updating their customers on what's going on. You need to take that up with them.
