Error -9813

Every time I try to check for available downloads, I'm told 'could not complete your request, error -9813.' I've found the meaning of many other error codes, but not this one. Anyone know?

macbook pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I, too, have been able to log into the iTunes store as of yesterday, October 24th. It was just after 5pm -- right after I got home from work.

I'm glad that whatever issue Apple was having has finally been resolved but I'm still irritated that it took them so long to acknowledge and then fix the problem. (Although they never officially announced that they had the problem, right?)

To romad: I like how you used Amazon.com instead and saved yourself some money. If I hadn't been trying to use credit I had leftover from an iTunes giftcard, I probably would've done the same. 🙂

I struggled with this for an entire weekend, using Keychain Access First Aid, copying keychain entries from a backup, and finally reinstalling OS X (10.5.8) and nothing worked. I contacted iTunes tech support and the answer was within the link they sent...

Clear the Safari cache. Go to the Safari menu and select Empty Cache. Now try logging or authorizing your computer.

Here is what they sent: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297

This is from an email I received from iTunes Support:

"This error was the result of some routine maintenance being performed on our end on 10/24. This action caused a small number of our loyal users to be unable to access the iTunes Store for a brief period, and for that, we sincerely apologize."

Is anyone still having this problem? My apple tv is working fine now, but my computer still won't let me play the music i already purchased from apple. I also can't purchase more music. I used to believe apple was a superior company, but lately I don't think they care about their customers at all.

Every time I try to play a song downloaded from itunes it asks me to sign in to itunes.

After signing in it says..

There was an error storing your authorization information on this computer.
The required directory was not found or has a permissions error.

This started after I downloaded itunes 10.0.1

I hope apple is still working on fixing this problem.
