How to login to Flickr on Apple TV 2G?
Thanks

Hi JackDooner,
I had the same problem and have found a way round it, if you open 'your photostream' on Flickr's website you should see underneath each of your photographs a green box and an edit option next to it, click that and you should get the option to change it to 'anyone can see this photo' I did this and it appeared straightaway and useable for a screensaver on my Apple TV which is what I had been trying to do for days! As far as I can work out you have to do it for each photograph individually but it only takes a second.
Hope this works for you too,
Regards,
Annie...
The name which is used for your "Signed in as"-name on the website is the same as your Flickr contact on Apple TV. It works for sure, also with a free account!
Thank you Jim Jarvie. This solved my problem.
For clarity and to confirm, all I did was uncheck the "Hide me from site-wide searches on flickr.com and on 3rd party sites that use the API?" field.
Obvious when you know that such a preference exists and can be toggled.
I see this thread has been up for a while but apparently it's still totally confusing. Here's what worked for me.
- Open Flickr from the main apple tv menu (where you see the netflix, youtube and vimeo icons etc. Not from the apple tv settings menu)
- In there under "your flickr" a code will be shown.
- Go to your computer and login to https://www.flickr.com/appletv/
- Enter that code
- You should be able to set your photos to the screensaver there. Or if you go back to the apple tv screensaver settings your account will now appear.
As for all of the other stuff people have posted here most of it seems pretty useless. I don't know if the privacy setting stuff people keep talking about matters or not. My stuff is set to public...
Totally confusing nightmare but then again flickr is mostly a confusing nightmare in my experience.
