I cannot purchase or rent anything from the iTunes store due to a "network connection" issue. I called the my support rep who actually had the same issue, and suggested asking in this forum. Is the iTunes Store capacity down? When will it be back up? Can I do anything to fix it on my end?
I was able to purchase this morning [west coast time] but now can't get into the store at all. I don't get a network connection message; I get a page that just says "Itunes Store" and can't go anywhere. I hope it's up and running soon.
I tried going to "Store>Authorize", and it said successful. But counted my computer a second time, and said, "You now have two authorizations left", and still won't connect. I bought some app for iphone I need(iphone crash), and this is going to end up costing money.
Weird happenings for me too...Yesterday I couldn't download a free app, and today, none of my app update downloads will download. I just get the progress bar that says "Downloading
___", followed by "Could not purchase
______. The network connection was reset". Frustrating for sure.
Update: Now, I can download some of the apps, but just got an error that says "There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later." Even going directly to the item in the iTunes Store doesn't work. There's definitely something weird going on.
I did finally get most of my apps to update (albeit one at a time, slowly), except one, which now appears to be missing from the iTunes store -- since earlier tonight. In the spirit of Halloween, there appears to be a ghost in the machine...
Yeah. I can access the store, but could not download through all of yesterday, and this morning I downloaded one app, redeemed 2 gift cards and then it stopped working.
The same thing is happening to me too. I managed to download 2 songs from itunes and add music to my basket yesterday evening; plus search for songs etc. But I couldn't and still cant access the itunes store! Its been like this, for me, since yesterday evening, and even now! Every time I try to go to the store it says: The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. Is anyone else having this pop up? Do you reckon its affecting everyone else?? Thanks!
I've been trying to set up an account for a friend for several hours, keep getting the message "Your request is temporarily unable to be processed. Please try again later." Same result on my MBP with 10.6.4 & iTunes 10.0.1, and PowerBook G4 with 10.5.8 & iTunes 9.2.1. So apparently it's not just me. 4 pm Mountain time.
I can't access customer service at all. Very frustrating. I have $30 of itunes App charges from Apps my kids must have ordered "by accident." Usually, it asks for a password, but apparently, not yesterday. I got the invoice email today but can't get in touch with anyone about it. I can't email or echat or anything.
