iTunes store temporarily unavailable?

I am getting the following message when I click to open the iTunes store:

"We could not complete your iTunes store request. The iTunes store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

Is anyone else having this issue?

Thank you.

I've had this same issue for a couple days now. And although it prevents me from viewing the homepage of the store, the store itself is still accessible. I can still search for and download music, and I can still redeem gift cards by going here:

https://buy.itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/redeemLandingPage?partn erId=30&siteID=1BBclGq2r7Q

Hopefully it all works for you guys too!

My problem is the same as many but a little different than others. iTunes store works fine. I can buy and download new and old apps along with music, but can't update. I have over a 100 apps that need updating on my Windows 7 system and the only other options is to manually redownload all apps since I don't know which ones need an update. I guess I'll wait for a fix and, hopefully, it will come before I reach the 200 apps need updating message.

I've had this issue over a year, but it hasn't been an issue since I haven't had a device to use apps with. Now, however, I'm getting a new iPod Touch and I want the apps to work with it. I have had this issue on my old PC and my new Laptop.

I currently have 172 apps that need updating and I mostly get the "Temporarily unavailable" error message with no error number.

Apple associates: Is it possible there is an issue that has gotten attached to individual accounts that is preventing each person from updating their apps? Or is there a way to click on an app and tell it to update, one at a time?
It just seems more to be an issue of it timing out or not being able to complete the connection during specific actions (like updating apps.)

I have been getting this message for several weeks now as well. I tried the tip that someone else suggested...and I can get into itunes when searching for an artist. And it will let me purchase a song...However, it has an error message at the top that states that not all features on the page are accessible unless I upgrade. I am currently using 10.4.11 and would need to buy leopard in order for the newest version on itunes to work. I don't feel I should have to pay money to update...and wonder if this is Apples plan...ignore the problem so people will go out and spend money on more of their products?

This is my last update. Although I'm less than pleased with email support for wasting my time after 2 weeks and being told I need to call their phone support and perhaps be charged to have things fixed. I did kindly explain through email that a) if I wanted to call someone at Apple I would have long before now and b) There was no way I was going to pay for me to give them advice and hints as to what the true problem is.

But despite all that, I've come to find I can access the theatrical trailer section today. What changed you might ask? Well, I can assure everyone here. I have done nothing at all to fix it at this point on my end. Which tells me, they are making some changes on Apple's servers. The absolute horrible thing is, if this is the case, then why did not someone message me back and let me know and advise me to retry? I suspect that at Apple, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. And if support really doesn't know what is going on, how can they ever expect to help people with problems and issues?

I only subscribed to this post I never added my 2 cents. I have the same issues as most on this thread.

I can buy songs fine etc but when trying to update the apps 99% of the time it just won't work. I end up with the store not available message. I tried to make sure it wasn't a firewall issue and turned them off. Still no deal. The 1% of the time it works I have no explanation for. It usually works after a long wait , like when I went to do something else. Though I do have to admit I was mashing the "update apps" button in order to do this. Something is amiss here. I can't imagine we have this shared experience for nothing.

I'm experiencing the same issue as most of you. I pre-ordered the Tron: Legacy soundtrack, which I was e-mailed about today. Supposedly it is available for download.

When I opened up iTunes, I wasn't automatically notified, and they never started downloading. Once I tried checking for available downloads, I was prompted for my password. Didn't work. Tried again, didn't work. Fine. I changed my password and tried again. Password didn't work. FINALLY, after a second time, it worked, lo and behold: "We cannot complete your request. Network connection timed out". My network is fine. I even did the network test through iTunes.

This kinda *****. Probably shouldn't have pre-ordered, or I may not have gotten around to trying to buy this album for a few more days. Might work then....

Has anyone received a valid response witht he claim that this is being addressed? No way am I going to sift through 8 pages of complaints.
