Keynote file size limitation

Have this problem too. Just started using Ipad and bought keynote hoping to get started with power point presentation which was plenty of photos. Can't seem to transfer a 71MB file. Didn't know bout file limit. Waste of money. What to do with this 64GB capacity?

Seriously, on a screen the size of any projector or computing device used for viewing, 30Mb is overkill.

Scale it appropriately for the image viewing solution that you are planning and it will be massively reduced and the viewer would lose nothing.

That's fine for static images, but not for video. I use keynote on Mac every day at work, and 95% of my files are over 30MB.

I have a few Keynotes with 60 videos that are over 2gigs, no problems playing them. Sounds like an iDisk problem or limitation.

You can use iTunes on the Mac. Or use an app like Goodread to send them over to the iPad.

Yes, and Dropbox also seems to be limited to 30 MB. But they transfer fine for me with iTunes.

So is there a file limitation? I too bought the 64 Gb as I have powerpoints for an 2 day 8 hour course, no video but file sizes are 362mb and 167mb. Any chance of getting these over to this ap? Is there another way? Thanks!

There isn't a file size limitation. You need Keynote on the iPad to open the Power Point docs. Open Keynote and select how to transfer the docs from a PC to the iPad from the help menu (click on the wrench icon).

I am having the same issues as most- as a try and transfer the file- the ap stops and crashes- is there a better way to move the files? I cant email bc they are too big- suggestions? I have Windows XP-

Try the GoodReader app... to transfer the keynote doc.

If you having problems transferring keynote docs from a computer to the iPad, there is something underlining that is wrong that needs to be fix. Using a third party app is only a patch... not a fix.

Try an app called 2screens, mine works fine with iOS4 and the developer of the app (Edwin) will answer all of your questions by email.

We have been having the same problem. We are trying to import a Keynote presentation (file size 336.9 MB) that contains both pictures, text and movies (movies have been converted to iPhone and AppleTV versions m4v). We have tried the iTunes file sharing, iDisk and Dropbox. Each time we try to import the presentation onto the iPad the screen goes black and it closes the app.

Any help would be great, we need to begin giving this presentation on Friday. HELP!!!
