Random Facetime Calls

My facetime on my iphone 4 (version 4.2.1) has started behaving strangely. I was no where near my phone and I heard it ringing when I got to it, it said "abc" wanted to facetime, when I tried to answer it, it just said connecting, then failed. I talked with "abc" via other means and they said they weren't near their phone, and their phone said I wanted to facetime with them. Neither party was near their phone, yet facetime for both said the other wanted to talk....

both of us were at our respective houses and connected via WiFi (not that that explains the random call, but wanted to mention it as trouble shooting information as to the failure of the call)

I believe this is the 2nd time (both to the same other phone) since installing the 4.2.1 update that facetime has initiated a call with out my interaction. - both phones are running 4.2.1...

has anyone else seen this behavior?

I have similar situation where I had setup FaceTime on my wife's MacBook. It probably happend around the same time frame during dinner, when my iPhone 4 goes off and it's her account trying to contact me! Thought my network was compromised! I should have checked this board first because my first instinct was to search for this bug and update all our WiFi and network passwords.

So, Today at 8 PM I received a random facetime 20 miles away from me. At first i was creeped and declined the calls. at 8:30 I caved and answered only to find that it couldn't connect. The person on the other end finally got ahold of me and said. "I've been receiving nonstop facetimes from you". I was surprised cause this was happening to me on the other end as well. Right as we were chatting my brother came downstairs. FOUND SOLUTION

SOLUTION: Brother had been facetiming this guys daughter and they were both under our Apple IDs.Told him to never use facetime and instead use Skype and havent received a call since.

I dont know though it could've been a glitch for some of you.

Well I can tell you that it's not an outdated topic because it just happened to me. I'm at home sick and finally got myself to sleep and at around 4am, my new iPhone started to ring. I went to check it and it was my co-worker, I declined to answer figuring that it was a drunken call, or a mistake, or something. The next day, I went to work and asked if he tried to facetime with me, lo and behold, the answer was no.

I showed him the missed call list and he was on top. He showed me his calls list and there I was not.

What is happening? Is there a ghost in the machine?
