iPhone 4.2.1 & Bose SoundDock Problems

Hello,

Since updating to the latest software when I connect my iPhone to my Bose Sounddock series 2 I get "This accessory is not designed for iphone" the phone charges but it will not play back. No audio whatsoever, I have tried a soft reset and a restore but still have the same problem.

I decided it was my sounddock so took my iPhone to work and tried it in several bose systems and same happens there, I get the phone to charge but no audio.

I am hoping someone can help me.

I just bought a soundock on Saturday. It works but intermittently. I get the message "this is accessory is not optimised for this device too, and when that happens, the sound is in mono and the remote wont work except for the volume control. If I nudge it a bit or take it out and put it back in it's all working fine.

Is it maybe that it works for the shape of iphone3g and it's not been designed for the squareness of iPhone 4?

i've got the Bose Sound Dock series 1 (the first generation without battery) and got no problems with any iPods or iPhones , even with the 4.2.1 software version. But how could that be that it says that the product isn't compaiteble?

Same happened to me after the recent update. Doesn't play or charge after the update. I am really sick of this happening at various times after updates. Apple get on the stick. You have an agreement with Bose to allow playing the phone on this doc!!
