2010 Macbook Air making me sick

After using my new 2010 13 inch, 256g, 4g Ram for about 10 minutes I can start to feel what would be best described as motion sickness. I don't have this from my 2009 Air, my 2009 Macbook Pro or any of my cinema displays (recent 24 and 27 inch LED models). I feel terrible after an hour.

I have a suspicion this is due to screen flicker. If you look at this screen flicker test Box 3 is flickering where it does not flicker on any of my other screens. Or the Macbook Pro's (2009 LED model).

Is anybody else experiencing this effect? Its so annoying, the new Air is fantastic in every other aspect.

@dharp , are you still having problems with the MBA making you nauseated. It sounds like you & I share the horrible condition of motion sickness. I recently purchased an MBA 2011 model, and experience nausea after using it for a short while. What's worse is it seems to happen with an external monitor as well. I've improved the condition by following suggestions from others such as adjusting contrast, brightness, gamma, taking frequent breaks, reducing glare, etc. I just wish it was completely gone. I paid a lot of money for this unit, and want it to work for me. I understand it's not the computer's fault I have this condition.

Any suggestions anyone has for further improving this is highly appreciated.

Hi,

I have a Macbook 13inch from early 2014. Using my Macbook makes me sick too, it is very very annoying as I have to use it a lot. It seems to be worse (symptoms start sooner), when I use it on my lap. I feel it in my stomach after a few minutes. I did the flicker test, and 3 boxes are flickering. I am not a technician so I don't know what to do.

if this is a known complaint, I think Apple has to do something about it, get the laptops back or have it fixed. Do you have any suggestions what I can do about this, or does Apple has a solution for this?
