The printer shipped with firmware that does not support AirPrint. Are you sure you have the most up to date firmware from www.hp.com/go/airprint/CP1525? The most up to date firmware was just posted on December 2, 2010.

Your symptoms sound a lot like my 1525n (non-wireless) regarding AirPrint prior to updating its firmware.

Out of the box (brand new last week) AirPrint was not supported - computers could print to it, but no iPads/iPhones could see it. There was an available firmware update for it on HP's website, though. Applied it and AirPrint sprang to life. Since then there has been yet another update posted, released on 2nd Dec.

What is the date-code for the firmware on your printer? (The "HP Utility" app displays this on the Mac, I'm sure there's something equivalent on Windows). The latest update installs version 2010-11-25.

Okay, so the firmware is up to date. Can your iPad actually talk to the printer over the network?

By default, I believe, your printer will display its IP address on its LCD panel when in the "ready" state. Enter that into the address bar of Safari on your iPad. Doe the printer's configuration web page appear?

I have the same problem. "no printer found" even when I am sitting next to the printer.

Hmm, are all the features shown as enabled on the "Networking" -> "Advanced" tab on the printer's web configuration pages?

Do you have a wifi network established and your iPad and the printer are both on this network?

I believe that's just for HP's "ePrint" feature, which allows you to email your printer attachments to print out from anywhere with an Internet connection. It doesn't affect Apple's AirPrint (and it's off on my printer).

I notice from another post that your printer is connected to a corporate network. Is there any filtering in place that could interfere with the Bonjour network protocol? Without getting overly technical, Bonjour is critical to being able to see AirPrint printers.
