HP Laserjet CP1525nw and AirPrint

I have a brand new CP1525nw which is on the list of supported printers. It has the most up to date firmware available. My iPad is running the most up to date version.

I am unable to print to it with my iPad. A windows desktop can print to it wirelessly. When I try to use my iPad i simply get "No Printers Found"

Have i missed something? Any thoughts or ideas?

I had a similar experience: Brand new CP1525nw, latest firmware and IOS, but iPad could not see the printer, said "No Airlink Printers Found". I could print from other computers, I could access the printers HTML setup page in Safari using it's IP, Subnetinsight (nice app) could see its bonjour address but DIscovery app could not.

Bottom line, I went into the printer control panel in Safari, clicked Networking tab, clicked Network Identification, and changed the Host Name from its default setting. I chose "HP_LaserJet_CP1525nw". Then Airprint worked.

Don't know why. Subnetinsight now shows a different Bonjour host name (but not HP_LaserJet_CP1525nw). DIscovery app now saw multiple instances of the printer. Seems like some confusion between HP and Apple over naming conventions?

Seems that the printer does not actually turn Bonjour on after a firmware upgrade. To fix: go to the printer's control panel (put the printer's IP address into your browser). Then go to Networking -> Advanced. UNTICK the Bonjour service and click Apply. Wait few seconds (just to be sure 🙂) and then TICK the Bonjour service again and click Apply.

That should do the trick...

Nonie.
