There are two HP ENVY 100 Printers

Beware. There are two HP ENVY 100 D410 printer, an "a" and a "b". I purchased
an ENVY 100 D410 from Best Buy where they sell only the 410b but do not indi
cate it is a 410b. I purchased the ENVY because it is listed as one of the printers that Apple supports for AIPPRINT. Unfortunately only the 410a is listed on the supported printer list.

When I try to print from my iPad the 410b printer is recognized as a printer on the network but the item to be printed is not sent to the printer. Hopefully Apple will eventually support the 410b ENVY printer. In the meantime I have a beautiful printer that won't print from my iPad.

I'd be curious to hear if anyone else has been similarly impacted.

I can speak for Andrew 😉 and all I use are Apple Airport's (both Extreme and Express) and they work fine. As for other alternatives, I have heard people having good luck with [DD-WRT|http://www.dd-wrt.com>, but I make no claims that it is going to work, you're on your own there. Unfortunately I don't see the WRT110 listed as supported however.

My best recommendation would be one of the newer Simultaneous Dual-Band Airport Extremes.

Just trying to help.

Printing to my HP Envy 100 printer is also an issue. 75% of the time I get "printer cannot be found" on my two Ihpone 4's and my iPad.

I'm running the Apple Airport extreme... so there goes that option....
I have a case open with Apple, and they have moved it over to Engineering, and they expect to get back to me on Monday or Tuesday (7 or 8 March)

More to follow

I am having the same issue. I finally have the D410a, bought yesterday from Apple store, working with my Macbook Pro, but the iPhone4 will see it briefly then it disappears, I get the no printers found message. Even when I was able to choose it to print, it didn't print. I have a brand new router, Belkin N750DB, it updated the firmware this morning. I couldn't find an option to check for updates manually. Please help! We bought this printer so it would work wiht my daughter's iPad2 and our phones, both iPhone 4's.

The HP Envy is currently listed for sale at HP:

And is also for sale at Amazon:

I have two HP Envy printers. Both have updated firmware. I got one at Office Max and one at Amazon. I use one at work with my iPad and an Ad Hoc network and the other at home with my Airport Extreme and both my iPad and MacBook Pro. No issues. I've never been happier with an everyday printer.

I don't, however, print from my iPhone, so I can't comment on that.

I'm trying to deploy 20 IPAD2 on my enterprise cisco wireless infrastructure ( not using a consumer router but cisco AP's) usin the HP Envy 100 printer. i can not see the printer on the wireless vlan where the IPADs and printer are both attached to. So in my case there isn't a wireless router involved. I have a TAC case opened with Cisco, not with HP and thought i would post the issue here for some input.. We are not a native apple environment but would like to deploy the IPADs in our office for end users but printing is required. I'm verifing that the firmware has been updated on the printer but after that not sure what else to do. I have my networking guy workning this for the past 3 days with no results.. Now if i print from the console screen on the printer i can print but not from a Ipad..Any assistance will be appreciated

Just bought this printer the envy d 410A. It wouldn't print from my iPad 3 but would print from the iPhone 4 and the laptop. The inbuilt apps would not work, I did an upgrade, still would not work, contacted hp they said it was an old machine and wouldn't cover it by warrantee. Contacted head office Melbourne and they are replacing my printer with the latest version. I will let you know when I receive it if it works.

I have someone I do computer and network support for. They just purchased a new windows 8.1 laptop and had to change their router as the old one was having problems accessing their HP envy 110 and 410 printers. Since making the change the laptop sees the printers fine but he has 2 iphones and 2 ipads that keep losing the printers. If he reboots the iphones/ipads they see the printers again for a few mins and then lose them. I'm thinking it's something with the printers going to standby but is that normal or should they still show up on the apple devices under airprint in standby mode? Iphones are 4s and 5s, both running IOS 7. Ipads are mini, both running the latest IOS also. Already updated the firmware in both the Netgear R6100 router and both printers.
