myinfo.apple.com not responding

I can get on the Internet fine, but when I try to download a free copy of iBooks, it says that my account information needs to be updated and redirects me to myinfo.apple.com
I then get a message that the server stopped responding.
If I try to go to that page on my PC it also says that the server isn't responding.
What do I try next?

same story here with iphone Apps Store access, after signing on to log here... Apps Store started working.... UUuuHHmmm.

It's now over a year later and I had the same problem. I would hope that Apple would have addressed this issue and not force its customers to search the web to find the solution here.

I see now. Apple require your credit card details before your account is valid -even if you only intend to download a free App!

Yes signing in to this Forum allows me to connect to App Store.. Apple come on.. I thought you are some smart people... very annoying.
