strange restarting after full screen video

Hey everyone. I have a four years and running original MacBook (the Intel Core Duo version) and i've begun to notice a very strange problem with my computer. It seems to arbitrarily restart with no warning and notice when i go into full screen video. At first i thought this problem was related to the program VLC specifically, but it just happened again when I tried to watch some video on the web (from the "Conan" show) and went into full screen mode.
This problem baffles me and it really bothers me that i have no chance to save/backup my work when it happens. Has anyone else experienced this?

Quin

I have this exact same issue. This usually happens when I'm going into full screen from a internet video like hulu and tbs. I bought my MacBook Pro about 3 years ago and it started doing this about a month ago. It's super annoying. 😟 I want to watch Conan in peace too, with out these random restarts.

Same exact issue here. I have the same generation MBP. Had the logic board replaced last winter because of the graphics card issue. Mine is randomly restartting while in full screen, but especially when changing the volume. I had multiple calls in to AppleCare but now my support has run out and the problem persists.

What's the point of this forum if Apple doesn't offer any solutions. Funny that AppleCare phone support insisted that I am the only person to have these issues.

I'm having the same problem.

Has anyone had any joy with a fix for this yet? Or is suffering too??

My 2011 imac is only a month old. I upgraded to 12GB RAM myself, and was running the preinstalled lion for a few weeks with no problems at all. Downloaded mountain lion, and noticed that the fans were either really quiet, or not kicking in at all. When I stream full screen video, the computer will randomly restart - telling me that there was a problem when the start-up gets going again. The top left hand corner was getting really hot, so i'd been using SMC to try and reduce the temperature thinking that this might have been the problem (SMU/PRAM reset had no impact), but last night it restarted twice seemingly regardless of the temp.

SO! Is there any chance that this is a mountain lion/software issue, or is it the logic board and the mountain lion upgrade timing was coincidence? If so, could it have been my installed RAM that killed it??

Any and all help/ideas appreciated. Next stop is obviously taking it to the genius bar, I just wanted to ask you clever people first.
