The MacBook Air is not a Laptop. It seems to be a seriously high-powered multi-media device. It seems to be more of a NoteBook; more than a Tablet, yet less than a Laptop...

It really is just a super-sleek envy of the local coffeeshop! Mine is a 13", with no built-in drive, though I bought a USB Super Drive later... The Pro seems to be closer to a LapTop, being it has an optical drive built right in. The MacBook Air - for all it lacks - it what it is, yet functions like nothing else on the market (it seems Dell shot themselves in the foot with their UltraBook. People will get the impression that for the highest quality, one will have to go with Apple (the UltraBook is heavier, weak graphics, sloppy mouse-pad thingy, etc.))...

you can buy a SSD upgrade FOR SURE for the macbook air.... it sure aint cheap (and i would sure rather be able to have 8gb ram... ) but you can currently pay a measly $949 for a 480gb MBA ssd upgrade from the one place i would recommend for all mac related upgrades - i get all my SSDs for my macbook pro and tower (and ram) from otherworldcomputing... macsales.com
