I just installed the apple tv update and now Netflix tv genres only shows suggestions and recently added. This makes it very hard to browse around for new shows. Is there a way to get this functionality back quickly.

I don't really think that anyone is too concerned about apple reading these posts... more concerned about the actual fix. Please refrain from raining on any parades.

JavaJ had specifically expressed the hope that Apple would read these posts.
Maybe they will read these boards and decide to give us a better Netflix >interface (or customization).
Therefore, giving the feedback link is quite appropriate.
My point was that if you have nothing constructive to say or add to a thread, please do not post. Prime example: your last message, and this message that I am typing now to tell you not to leave unconstructve messages. 🙂
Precisely why I gave a link so you could provide feedback to apple directly. You biting back is what was not constructive.

Perhaps when you've been around a while, you'll begin to understand the culture and etiquette of these forums. Criticizing someone for a direct and helpful answer even if you don't agree with it is generally not considered polite. A certain amount of "non-constructive" postings (and that is certainly in the eye of the beholder) is also acceptable.

My Netflix went haywire after the update. The beauty of the ATV2 though is that I was able to re-flash and reset to factory and be up and running simply enter two sets of user credentials.
OK, would have preferred a smooter update but it literally took me 5-10 minutes to be back up and running. Much prefer this easy fix that hours and hours restoring other Apple products.

So how do you do a reflash? I have restored it, but it just uses the new firmware.
I spoke to Apple tech support today. It is a known issue and they are working to address it.
Apple or Netflix must have come up with a solution. Came home from work today and my TV categories are back and everything appears to be working.
I just updated the newest version of Apple TV and now some of the genres are missing in Netflix which is even causing even more movies to not be displayed. I've tried logging in and out out the Netflix account and even unplugging my Apple TV and plugging it back in, it doesn't do anything to change it.. I don't know what else to do.. 😢
