Printing Coupon from Coupons.com and Bricks
Mac OS X (10.6.5)
Mac OS X (10.6.5)
I only print coupons for myself and adhere to the limit and don't make copies. As I said in a previous post, I have no trouble printing coupons when using Firefox as my browser. which is the opposite of what occurred only a few weeks ago. Since Firefox upgraded to 5.0 I can print with no problem, but when I try to print through Safari it is obvious that coupons.com thinks I have a pc because the directions are for a pc. So I just use Firefox and I'm fine with that. I have no idea why this change occured, but can only assume it has something to do with the upgrade to 5.1.

Message was edited by: laverne's mom I tried to insert a print screen shot but for some reason, it wouldn't work. I must be doing something wrong. When I just tried to copy and paste, firefox hung up, so I tried to explain this as best I could.
Found a work around to print coupons from coupons.com but still cannot print bricks coupons.
The problem is Safari 5.1 (or the couponprinter plugin needs to get updated). I updated Safari to 5.1 and lost the ability to print coupons from coupons.com and bricks coupons.
I entered time machine and restored Safari to version 5.0.5. and was able to print from coupons.com
I haven't found a way yet to print bricks coupons. It keeps asking me to install the coupon printer.
Yes, I agree and think it is Safari 5.1. I just downloaded Firefox 5.0.1 onto my Mac and can print coupons now! I am very relieved and glad that at least one browswer works My Safari 5.1 browser will not even load the homepage of coupons.com.
I'm completely frustrated. Been trying to download the coupon printer all day. Have googled everything I can think of. Tried with OSX 10.6.8 using Mozilla 5.0/FF 3.6.19 - I've downloaded the installer and when I click on a coupon to print that's through the Bricks site it freezes my FF. I have to Force Quit FF in order to get away from the screen. ANY suggestions are appreciated!!
PS - I'm a pretty new Mac user and not very tech-savvy so may ask a lot of questions!!!! Beware!!
I just found the issue with printing from our Mac. If you have the following file in your system please delete it then reinstall the coupon printer driver.
Delete this file:
/Library/Application Support/Coupons/cpnprt2.cid
Then go here and re-download and re-install the coupons.com print driver:
http://ftp.coupons.com/safari/MacCouponPrinter.dmg
Hope this helps someone.
I was having coupon printing problems after installing Lion. After a lot of research I realized that Lion does not include Java. Once I downloaded and activated Java I was able to print coupons once again.
I posted a tutorial so other people can avoid some frustration. http://www.mac-software-tutorials.com/coupon-printing-in-lion.html
But now some people have commented that although printing from Coupons.com is working - the coupons are printing very small.
I am not having this problem, but I am wondering if anyone out there has a solution for this issue.
After installing Java I was still not able to print from Coupons.com and after a lot of reading on the web came across a solution that worked for me!
Right click on Safari in Finder (not the Task Bar) and select 'Get Info'. Put a check mark next to the line that reads 'Open in 32-bit mode'.
That's all it took for me to be able to print coupons!
WOOOOHOOOOOO!!! YOU ARE A ROCKSTAR!!!!! IT WORKED!! I've been so completely frustrated not being able to print from coupons.com and having to go to my super-slow desktop has been so frustrating! The other "fixes" people posted didn't work for me but this did!!!! Thank you SOOOOOO much!!
I am having the same problem with my coupons printing tiny! I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Safari 5.1.1 and Firefox 8.0 and when I try to print, get the "/usr/libexec/cups/filter/CouponConvertor_v2 failed" message. As suggested on another discussion thread, I tried printing coupons through AOL Desktop for Mac. Not really a solution - just a workaround. The coupons will actually print through AOL Desktop, but they are coming out tiny, about a quarter of the normal size. I don't think any store will accept these! Multiple e-mails to Coupons.com have not yielded any results. I am printing to an Epson CX-4200. If anyone can help me print from Bricks and Coupons.com I would be so grateful! I have not been able to print these coupons since the summer, and this is extremely frustrating to this coupon mom! Thanks!
Well, I did a little digging and deleted what I think were the files in question. I also reset the printer queue, re-installed my Epson, deleted and re-installed the coupons.com coupon printer - but my coupons are still printing tiny.
However - I double checked both Safari and Firefox and neither were running in 32 bit mode. I checked that box, and now the mini-coupons are printing in both of those browsers. That is a definite step in the right direction! Now to get them to print normal-size, and all will be well again.....I welcome any ideas!
I just tried this and it worked for me:
- changed safari to 32 bit
- then also found this from http://www.livingrichwithcoupons.com/2011/07/coupons-com-mac-os-x-lion-printing- issues-fix.html
"we’re sorry to hear about your trouble printing. An update has been released to support printing on Safari 5.1 browser in native 64bit mode on Mac OS X Lion. You should also be able to print from your Firefox browser. If you have previously installed the Coupon Printer and cannot print coupons, please uninstall the Coupon Printer and reinstall it from this linkhttp://print.coupons.com/couponweb/help/print/install.html to get the latest version. We hope this information has been helpful, please let us know if you continue to have issues printing by sending an email tosupport@couponsinc.com. Thanks for your support and cooperation"
Hope this works for you guys, too.
Steve13,
I tried that solution. I even deleted the entire printer in the library and reinstalled the drivers. That didn't solve the problem of the coupons printing small. This does seem to be an EPSON printer issue. I hooked up my MacBook Pro to my family's HP printer over Christmas, and the coupons printed normally.
I think I finally solved my problem with coupons.com - someone elsewhere suggested that Safari's popup blocker can interfere with installation of the coupons.com printer so closing all windows in the browser before installation was advised. I actually uninstalled their printer and then re-installed it after quitting Safari. When I relaunched Safari, for the first time since I installed Snow Leopard I was able to print their coupons! Before my only solution was to restart in Tiger, not an option for people with newer macs.
I am on an old 2007(?) mac mini (Intel) with a Samsung SCX-4500W printer, now in OS 10.6.8. There was one difference between the pre-reinstallation behavior of coupons.com from months ago, maybe something was changed in their printer or Safari or Snow Leopard. Originally, I would get the message from coupons.com repeatedly to install their printer (which I did repeatedly) but my printer never got the message to print. Today, I didn't get any installation message from coupons.com, it thought it was printing but again my printer never got the message to print until I did the installation-with-Safari-quit approach.
P.S. Be patient while waiting for your printer to acknowledge coupons.com, it doesn't get the message immediately.
My coupons are printing now!!!!! I did the 32-bit thing for Safari. Quit Safari. Uninstalled the coupon printer, reinstalled the coupon printer. My coupons still did not print from Eatbetteramerica.com or couponsurfer.com. SO, I wrote to the coupons.com coupon printer support peeps and got this letter from them:
Dear Person Who Would Like to Print Coupons but Cannot,
We would like to verify that your Coupon Printer is installed correctly. Please try printing our test coupon, it should always print if the Coupon Printer is installed. The test coupon can be found at http://b.coupons.com/z.asp
Please also try printing a coupon from www.Coupons.com. When the site finishes loading, please select or clip any coupon and click the "Print" button.
If you can print coupons from either website, your coupon printer is installed and you can print our coupons.
If otherwise, please try printing from a different browser (such as Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer) to see if this behavior is only occurring in your current browser or in all browsers. Please note that the Coupon Printer may not work properly with "beta" web browsers.
If you need further assistance, send us an email with specific details describing the behavior of the site, or your system, immediately after you click the "Print Coupons" button.
You can visit http://help.coupons.com to find more answers to frequently asked questions about the Coupon Printer.

GUESS WHAT?! The test coupon printed and so did the ones directly on the coupons.com (with nothing after it in address bar)!! I've got COUPONS (after a year of frustration)!!!! I sure hope this helps someone!!!!
I don't know if this helps or even applies to any of the issues on this discussion, but I just installed Coupon printer printer, selected some coupons, then clicked Print Coupons (on Coupons.com). Everything looked like it was working. The site said it was sending coupons to my printer, but then nothing would print. I went to System Preferences, Print & Fax. Made sure my printer was selected as th default printer. Then clicked on Printer Sharing until the message under it said "printer sharing is turned off". Clicked on the "sharing" button there then checked the box next to printer sharing. Tried again on Coupons.com and it worked. It seems that Coupons.com uses your printer from their site.
