Facetime will not log in?! - New ipod - Help!

I can not figure out for the life of me why facetime will not activate! I have successfully set up a apple id and am logged into that fine...but when I click facetime on new ipod touch it keeps giving me message: "can not sign in please check your network connection and try again"

But that makes no sense...Apple ID is fine and I have strong wifi where I am. I am surfing web just fine...but facetime will not activate. What can I do??

hello,

i had the problem as well i restored 3 time but nothing so i turned it on and back off agin and that fixed it 

I don't see this option would this be in my settings on the ipod or in iTunes?

I only have the ability to sign in & Create New Account.

I got my new iPod 4g on christmas and I have been trying to log onto face time multiple times a day since then and I'm having the same message everytime "incorrect password" it doesn't seem to me like a server problem. And I don't see why it wound be a defect in the iPod. It seems like a software issue to me. Can we get a real solution other than default in our iPods for service? That's a major inconvienience for somthing that seems to me that it can be fixed with a software update

I've had the same issue with my iPod Touch 4G, every time I try to log onto the Facetime it says I used the wrong password or Apple ID. I've tried changing my password, changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4, turning on the airplane mode, restarting, everything listed on this forum. But nothing has worked! I would really appreciate a new suggestion or some help.

This worked like a charm. Everyone try changing dns to 8.8.8.8. Then airplane mode on for a little then off sign in

YOU ARE AWESOME! Changing the date/time worked for me. Time was off by 12 hours. Changed it and worked like a charm. I can't tell you how many hours I spent on this.... Thank you for posting.

Mine doesn't work either! Every time I try to log in I type in my password and it goes to where you can choose the email that you want to use then it goes back to the original page. Apple should really fix this problem!

Hi Semper Fi. Check your date and time and make sure it is accurate to your time zone. Mine was off by 12 hours (am/pm switched.) Once I corrected, I got in with no problem. Hope this works for you. Your description is exactly like mine. Stay safe.
