Logic wish list for next release

Cosmetics may not be important for some but for the rest of us it is.
When I work with PT9 or DP7 I am amazed how beautiful they look. It makes it so easy and pleasing to work with them. BUT I like Logic Pro better for everything else so APPLE if you read this MAKE LOGIC PRO WITH THEMES (COLORS CHOICES) OR SPECTRUM CHOICES AS IN PT9 and DP7 . IT MAKE LIFE BETTER WHEN YOU WORK 10 -12 HOURS A DAY ON PROJECT.
The Dark gray color In Logic is nice but boring. Other competitor are cathing with a pleasing environment.
DP7 is a wonder and EM choices of DAW for 2010 Cosmetics are important to.
Thanks:-)

My feature requests:

*Mixer 'scene/preset' memory*. Such a basic feature missing... ideal for comparing and copying mixes.

*All new standard plugins updated* like space/delay designer e.g. Filter Designer, Modulation Designer etc. The standard plugs in Logic ARE SO OLD!

*EXS24 MKIII* Again getting really old and totally outdated by the competition. So many features missing here.

Why has this thread not been pulled?!

ProTools 9 looks exactly like ProTools 8. One might even argue that the only upgrades from 8 to 9 is that they took some of the intentional cripples off. If that is true, and if Logic is years behind PT as some would say, maybe Logic's next upgrade will be to remove capabilities. Then, they can sell us another upgrade that removes those restrictions and everyone will be excited again.

I agree that PT9 looks just like PT8. I just had a nice discussion with the manager at one of the GC in my area. He was raving about why PT9 was so worth the upgrade price. I asked him what it could do that Logic Express couldn't and he laughed. Said nothing really. I miss some of the things in PT, but not enough to pay $599 for it. I actually sold my Logic Studio license a year ago and got LE along with Reason. I am debating on whether I just upgrade LE when the time comes or get Logic Studio. I really only used waveburner for the most part. It will be interesting to see what Logic has whenever the new release comes. I have also been spending a lot of time looking at Digital Performer. Doesn't seem to come with many effects, but l like the editing features from what I can tell.

Hi guys,
I used Logic for a long time, then went back to Cubase since Apple bought Emagic, but now I'm definitely thinking of going back to my beloved Logic, but there are still a number of things that discourage me and I would like to include in the list of requests :

1. Tuning vocal tracks in Melodyne style or Cubase VariAudio. - FLEX Pitch?

2. Better professional visualization of Audio wave in Arrange window

3. FadeTool on multiple selected tracks

4. Advanced Quantization in PianoRoll editor for single selected notes

5. Dedicated MIDI Drum editor (Cubase Style)

6. Better Tempo detection procedure

7. Multi output instruments easier

8. Long channel fader

9. "empty bin" for inused audio files that delete files from HD

10.Audio to score on a new MIDI track

11.Phase accurate busses

12.Free folder tracks with the ability to drag and drop tracks to and from that

13.Better preset managment in Trasformer

14.A floating Tool palette

15.Converting Audio to sampler track produce a multioutput version of EXS

16.Better GUI. Better and fluid events objects in Arrange

17.Return to offer Italian language

I really hope that many of these requests are answered from Apple.

Another point:

Drum replacing is a cool feature in Logic, but too limited!
In a snare track, I've also ghost notes from snare, at the same amount of dB of HiHat.
Well, with only threshold parameter Is impossible to select ghosts and make rifiniture at point detections.
Same for Audio to score feature.
Cubase make this moore functional, hope Logic can do this soon.

Create a song list in logic. What I mean is a SONG LIST. Yes a song list that brings up another Project/Song and closes the current Project/Song. Yes a song list for live situations, where we may have 30+ different songs that we want to arrange in a different order any night we choose. I can't believe Apple makes this impossible to do. Yes I've tried OnStage by Fluqe Creative, & Mainstage, but they're very limited & combersome to use just to open up projects/songs. I'm trying to use the keyboard on a laptop or Ipad to activate whatever song I wish, and to put whatever order I wish the song list to be in on the fly.

Example:

1. Create a song list order of unlimited songs... up to infinite number of songs, etc.

2. Be able to change song list on the fly. e.g. move song list order by mouse.

3. Song list opens logic Projects/Songs individually and then closes previous Project/song

4. Ability to have current song open up new song after completed.

5. Ability to have current song open up new song after completed and start new song automatically.

6. Ability to have the new song delay any amount of seconds before automatically opening up and starting from the previous song.

Is Sonar by Cakewalk the only midi/audio sequencer out there that does this? I don't like the sequencer but we are using it live because it's the only one that has a Song list that we can find.

In this day and age, it's really sad that apple hasn't done this with either Logic Pro, Mainstage, or Garageband, not to mention that Mainstage is pretty much overkill for a simple Song List creation, and it's not simple enough for just creating a song list to open up logic projects/songs.

I'm praying that someone comes up with a song list Application just like Sonar. I haven't seen anything that comes even close to that.
