Facetime Username or Password is Incorrect

I made the account on faceTime, and when i go to sign in it comes up "The user name or password for (my email) was incorrect, Try again." and when i do try again the same page comes up.

Agreed. The link to the Knowledge Base article offers no solution.

I'm suffering from the same irritating 'bug'. I can happily sign in under my correct Apple ID on my Mac but Facetime on the iPod touch won't accept the password.

I've had to create a separate ID on the iPod to use Facetime on that device. Let's hope iOS 4.3 might resolve the problem.

Better don't post anything, this is only irritating.
Until 2 months ago I was using Facetime on my iPod without any problem!

Thanks for the new information. Had I known that your iPod's FaceTime

Hello, I cannot access anymore facetime application, there is not a problem with my apple id, I can access this on computer even on Ipod, but that application no; I have been at apple store, but not even there I could solve the problem.
I restore everything like they said, but still the facetime application is not accessible.

Good news!

I updated my iPod touch to iOS 4.3 yesterday and it now allows me to log in to Facetime with my correct Apple ID.

Hopefully this fixes the issue for everybody.

My post shows my frustrating experience and how I got it to work with the AppleID I wanted. It's all about the password. Apple need to fix this.

I had a similar:

To resolve this i went to generals: App store and clicked on my apple id. when a pop up shows click on view Applie id account. There select the payment process and select NONE in the type of card instead of your visa or mastercard. save it and then you can try getting into facetime., It should be good. It worked for me. Good luck. Lemme know how it goes
