Connectivity to Cardo Scala Rider

I have the same problem

Scala rider g9 works fine when i had iphone 4s but when i had to buy new phone i bought Iphone 5s.

I can listen to Music.

Talk to my budies.

But i can not recieve or Call anyone with g9

I followed gfalcon's instructions for reseting the pairing bet my iPhone 5S and Scala Rider Pro Q2 and using Siri works fine now...although I noticed I have to speak pretty loud for her to understand.

I am another one with the G9. Everything works fine except for answering calls with iphone 5. I have gone through the reset process to no avail. Most disappointing.

I gave up on Scala and sold it.

Now looking to buy the G9x.

But I have two questions.

Is it compatible with iPhone 5S and 6 ?

iOS8 ?

Also, Im looking to buy a GPS, whose voice command would be listened in Scala inside my helmet.

Is that supported ?

And which GPS do you recommend, which pairs perefectly with Scala G9x ?

i have a Scala G9x. It paired great with my Windows Phone. I have since moved over to an iPhone 6. And to be honest, I have literally tried EVERYTHING to pair these devices, with NO luck!!! I have reset the Scala via instruction video and still no luck. anyone else have an issue with the G9x and the iPhone 6?

Just bought a brand new SHO-1 (G9 based) and having troubles with Siri. It works very badly (Siri do not detect correctly when I have finished talking), After listing to music, I cannot invoke Siri anymore using the 2 sec press on Vol+

I'm very disappointed.

Same problem, Siri don't know when I have finished talking. I have G9x running on the latest soft, iPhone 5 soft 9.1

Any idea how to solve this?

No solution but a pitiful workaround : wait 1 second then chug loud in the mic at the end of your sentence. It will help a bit Siri To detect the end of the sentence.

To invoke Siri : stop music before

conclusion : I won't buy any other Scala device anymore. Product are expensive, do not work correctly and support is arrogant. My NCOM bx5 kit was very very far better. during 2 years i never had any issue of this type with it. I regret a lot my previous solution (x-lite helmet + ncom integrated kit).

I was looking since a long time how to activate Siri on a SCALA RIDER Q1. I found the solution. Tested on iOS 9.2 on iPhone 5S.

1. Make sur Siri can be enable when your iPhone is on the looked screen (check Settings > Touch ID and Password and activate Siri)

2. Presse simultanously the IC and MM bouton on your scala rider. You will hear a sound, then after a couple about 2-3 seconds the Siri activation sound.

3. Tell what you want to Siri. (after this step, you will then notice that nothing happens),

4. For Siri to obeys your command, BLOW A SHORT, LIGHT PUFF OF AIR INTO THE MIC. Then you will hear the iPhone validation sound. FOOL-PROOF!

(I wonder how Siri interprets that puff of air…)

Hi, I just bought a Q1 (firmware 2.0) and I have iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 9.3.1 Q1 connect but microphone doesn't work, my voice is so low that no one can listen to me. I tried with another q1, same issue. Cardo support has no idea what is happening, but if this is the situation I cannot use it

Hmmmm just got the Qz, I couldn't get the mic to work last night. (I have the 6s plus) the mic was mostly cutting in and out and was barely audible when it was working.

I will endeavour to do so again this weekend, I'll try using a different phone and see if this makes any difference.

I just got the Packtalk....and cannot get it to pair with my iPhone 6. The phone displays "PACKTALK" on the list of devices avail to pair with....but the process won't work.

same here! expensive scala G9x set and it keeps misbehaving and arrogant silence from their support team is loosing them two more customers.
