Alarm doesn't work since new year

No update true, but my alarm has started working again. Tested it a minute ago. Maybe they send out some sort of signal via the time sync system that tells the phone what the time is, and makes the changes for daylight saving etc.

There is no such signal. Alarm bug was specific
To 1st and 2nd jan 2011 only.

Please tell us what you are going to do about this. An really not happy! I used my alarm every day. It's now not work so please fix it ASAP!!

I can also confirm as a problem on iPhone 3G running 4.2.1. The Alarm doesn't work at all.

I have an iPod Touch 4G with this same problem. I decided to post it here given that it seems the thread with the most replies. I acquired it on december 31 but only tested the alarm until now, so I don't now if it was functional before.

Will the problem correct itself tomorrow just like with iPhone? If not, will there be a fix for these to download? I'm eager to know because "use repetitive alarm only" seems like a poor remedy for the long run.

Not only 3GS have this issue , 4G also face the same problem....we pay a high price for the device but lost to a cheap alarm clock.......*****......:<

am so embarrassed on January 3 Monday morning my alarm did not go off ,, my supervisor had to call me,, ohh God i thought it was me this time so sleepy .. its the alarm,, i almost get fired for this...

Tomorrow i've got the same problem, no alarm: First business day and I was too late. The problem subsisted since first of january... Why does apple not send a newsletter or any other note?

Why do users registrate their iPhone at Apple, if they do not get such vital information directly from Apple? I had to read in the newspaper that the alarm does not work, but ..... it should work as of January 3rd.
This morning, in stead of waking me up at 4:50 AM, my iPhone 4G did what I would have liked to do ... sleep. Meaning; also on January 3rd the alarm does not work.
I am running iOS 4.2.1.

What will Apple do for the people that are missing flights or billable hours?

Did you edit the alarm or delete it and start a new one?

I edited the alarm and saved the change (like I always do).

Yes, but this was before there was a bug that appeared. So delete that alarm and create a new one.

Unfortunately we were not told this was necessary and my alarm once again did not go off this morning (Mon 3). Not happy.
