Alarm clock fails as of Jan 1

Both iPhones in the house (3GS) failed to execute the alarm function this morning (v4.1 and 4.2.1). Please post a bug fix or workaround.

Did you set the alarm on January 2nd for it to go off on January 3rd? If yes that was the problem. If you are editing a previous alarm you might want to delete it instead and start a new one.

Yes, I activated my alarms I configured some time ago on January 2nd to go off this morning, January 3rd. I'll delete them and create new ones for tomorrow... Thanks for the hint!

@Apple: Go and fix this bug soon. People are relying on this simple feature folks! Thanks 🙂

What makes me laugh is the small minded computer nerds that thinking an alarm not going off on a "IPhone" is not important. Please step into the real world where normal people don't sit on forums searching for errors on iphones before they travel.

People travelling will use the alarm clock on their phone as their only alarm clock and therefore it is very important that it functions correctly.

I have used alarms on phones for many years whilst travelling without problems, that was until the iphone. Why should a alarm clock suddenly stop working when it was fine the day before? Why should the normal guy on the street suffer such massive problems that this "unimportant" error causes?

First time this happened to me I was late for a train for a very important business trip as the alarm did not go off. Second time the alarm did not go off for a flight home from my new year holiday yesterday, luckly I was already awake and could not believe my luck after my previous experience with the failed alarm.

This is not acceptable for such an expensive device as an IPhone. There is no simple way of complaining to Apple Inc. There is no way of seeking compensation for the chaos that the fault causes to the simple man on the street. There is no one from Apple that even cares for the problems that it causes because it is only an "unimportant alarm clock" that is not the purpose of the device!

yes, it is totally outrageous. . I've been using the alarm function on my Iphone to get up in the night and administer medications to my terminally ill partner. . and doing so long enough to rely on it. . . the particular advantage was being able to set multiple alarm times at once rather than having to change the setting after each alarm. . .so the end result was late meds and great pain. . yes, I repeat. . . outrageous.

Yes, well, its another morning and another issue - alarm problem with the iPhone 4. The "supposed" fix on the 3rd, why that date? And still no fix for problem. Guess another band aid like the exterior strap for reception. Lovely! Lets all shrug our collective shoulders, tilt our hands up and raise our heads and go gee Apple, what's next? More excuses and or "reasons" instead of correct product.

Come on Apple, we pay our money and, and, and ........
