I found a solution that worked for me. When you open it and its black, just exit out of that window then play it again. This worked for me and I hope it works for you
Same here - it works a few weeks ago, but now nothings seems to fix the problem. Fed up and will NEVER buy any videos from iTunes again. I have three eps left of a TV series that I can only watch on my iphone. Gee, thanks...
Same issue here. I don't even get audio... Just a black screen w/every video in iTunes. Anyone have a fix for this? I can't upgrade, because I have a Mac Pro 1,1 w/OSX 10.7.5. iTunes 12.2.
Go to Applications > iTunes (app) Get info, and make sure that 32 bit mode is unchecked. Works like a charm on my 30" Apple Cinema Display in 64 bit mode. No more black screen.
