As a Linux User - It's Simple.. Download the "Wine" package (The Windows Emulator) for Linux. Download the "PlayOnLinux" package and choose, "ITunes" under multimedia.. Or alternatively, Download and install VirtualBox for Linux, and create a "virtual machine" Install Windows 7, XP, or other version of windows, or MacOS on this virtual machine, then simply download Itunes, install and click the the USB Interfaces to enable.

As for Native "one package" download for Linux, they don't have one.. However MacOS X was BSD based, so I wouldn't think it'd be so hard for them to port this, if they wanted to, but I think they take the stance view of that by doing this, it as it would hurt their market share, so I don't think they will.

I don't know about you, but I am a Linux user, with Iphone 4S IOS5.1 and there isn't really anything I can't do in Linux that I could do in Windows or Mac OSX on my iPhone. If Apple wants to make a Linux version of iTunes, it would be welcomed, but as of now, it is not necessary, we have tons of alternatives at our fingertips.

Where there's a will, there's a way,
