Wireless Keyboard with Numeric keypad? why doesn't Apple make one?
Why doesn't Apple make a wireless keyboard with a numeric keypad???
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5), numeric keypad
iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5), numeric keypad
Well, I got so freakin tired to typing numbers on the short keyboard that I finally just bought the wired one. While it's not as elegant as a wireless board, having the keypad and home and end keys is worth it to me. Fifty bucks for old tech! Sheesh. But I am happy again.
I've been wondering whether wireless can't manage the extra code that the keypad and full function of a complete keyboard is the reason Apple stuck us with the short wirelress board. In any event I'm happy with my new fully functional keyboard and the wire hasn't caused me any undue stress. 🙂
Recommended for those of us who do a lot of analysis or simply type a lot of numbers.
Please share the link.
Here's the link where Apples sells it, but I bought mine at Best Buy for the same price.
It's worth having the extended keyboard even if it's USB.

It's not Wireless. OP(and me too) wanted to know whether there's a Wireless full keyboard (with numeric keys) available.
There isn't, which is extremely frustrating and hard to understand. And for what it's worth, I tried the wireless numeric keypad addon, and it *****. I ended up throwing mine away because it would not stay connected.
Macally BTKey Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard for Mac
I'd rather have a wire than that. UGLY!
Agreed James!
The idea is to add a numeric keypad to already existing ( and stylish ) Apple Bluetooth aluminum keyboard, not add a PC style plastic clunker with big, chunky keys !
Hey Apple !!!!
Are you guys reading these threads? This request has been out there since you introduced the Wireless keyboard !!!
£50 in hand ready waiting for Apple to release them.
Same here.
I'd drop $99 for a full sized, bluetooth, blacklit keyboard from apple (with the num pad etc of course)
I agree, Apple please build and sell a bluetooth keyboard exactly like the wired keyboard. One that has a numeric keypad on the right.
Also, while I'm at it. I absolutely despise the "function" key found at the lower left corner of Apple keyboards.
3 buttons for my left pinky to navigate, perfect.
4 buttons for my left pinky to navigate, too many.
No matter how much time I spend with these keyboards, I still fumble around trying to make sure my pinky lands on Control instead of Function, or Option instead of Control. As a Logic 9 user this is important a big waste of time for me.
They do make one... I have one... Here is an ebay link for it... It's Apple model A1016

We're after an aluminium one, not one of the old plastic ones
