Screen locked with non-English keyboard layout selected

Hello,

I use two keyboard character sets for keyboard. The switch between them is Command-Space.
I also have password requirement for waking up or going from screen saver.
Now if screensaver starts with non-English layout selected, I'm not able to login:
password is not accepted because keyboard layout is not English and switching
to English layout does not work in unlocking window.
Is there any way to change layout while in the unlock window?

Install Windows 7 🙂

Now seriously, I managed to fix this thing with 'Fix Permission'. Few months later it came back but still, this is one possible fix.

Which Tibetan IM? Try Caps Lock -- for some of them, this gives you Latin.

Not sure if you figured it out, but after my 2 yr old locked my screen in French!!! I had to refer to this post, only to have my husband fix the issue... You type your known password into the Username area, figure out what characters have changed, and by elimination (using shift, or command) figure out how to type the password in as the set language. Make sense??

Unfortunately your approach will not work when the person has used a non-Latin keyboard (Russian in verzunhof's case) for their password, because there is normally no way to use shift, etc to get what you need to type.

Works only in documents - to change one character from non-english to default english use ` in between left shift and z.
