back up 20 hours and counting

trying to load new ipad OS but forced to back up and taking 20 hours so far ??

around 9Gb on ipad, no video

25 hours.

All ok 4.2 up and running...

I dont know what all the complaints are for, this ipad is just fantastic...

There are two fixes I can recommend from those suggested..
1. Patience- just wait, 25 hours is a small price to pay, what else are you going to do. Run the backp in a cold room and leave the laptop alone and the ipad battery will make it through ok.

or my favorite;

2. Disposal and Recycling Information
Your iPad must be disposed of properly according to local laws and regulations. as instructed on p171 of the OS handbook

I have the same problem. Leave it overnight, still hasn't backed up by morning. Did the reset thing, no change. Did the restore thing, no change. Sounds like it is a problem with the product. And there is no clear solution. And (s)he and I aren't the only people on this forum with the problem, so it isn't really rare, is it?

Logged on to say that it looked as if the problem had been solved after finally undergoing a 24 hr back up and installing 4.2. However, just before back up completed, the iPad shut down and needs to be restored. Is this for real?
