Different “Reply To” email address

I have set up a new email account specifically for use with my iPad when travelling.

However, when sending emails from this account, I would like replies to such emails from recipients to go to my main email account.

Is it possible to set a “Reply To” attribute in Mail on the iPad?

iPad 64G 3G, iOS 4, And a whole bunch of Macs since 1985!

Unless I missed it in the mass of irrelevant replies, eBoof didn't mention that if you select "Gmail" as the account type you won't have the option to set up an SMTP server independent of Gmail, which is the key to the whole thing if your desired "Reply To:" address isn't a gmail address.

That's probably obvious upon reflection, but it stymied me. Maybe the clarification will help someone else.

None of the above fits my case. The actual email address (of a colleague) is hotmail.com (yuk). He has bought a domain and uses that as his email address, and the domain host forwards received emails.

This is fine under Thunderbird, which has configurable From: and Replyto:

There is no way he is going to set the Replyto: every time. He has enough trouble coping with email at all (8-)#

Also I need the From: set as well.

I gather from the discussion that a global Replyto: is not possible. "From:" I think is not even mentioned.

Is there an app that does this?

The Gmail app for iOS does allow this, because you can do it in the basic desktop Gmail app. In any case it has been working for me, though with the normal Gmail issue of grouped conversations. Your friend could love the way Gmail works or he could hate it. I was casually searching for a way to get rid of Gmail on the iPad as I now on the Mac desktop can send from my own domain.

Many email providers no longer allow the 'foreign' email in the From: line. The recommendations provided in these posts and replies no longer work for Verizon FIOS email. Setting up the account with the reply to address at the outset then adding the FIOS email information stopped working in November 2016.

And there is NO reply to line in IOS mail. So there is no longer a method to accomplish a different reply to address, especially for FIOS customers.

This is a trouble area for Apple, IMHO.
