Verizon iPhone Bluetooth audio issues (2010 Prius).

I had the same problem. If you go into your iPhone setting/general and disable and re-enable Bluetooth it might pair. I have not figured out why it does this, but I have the same problem. I am guessing it stops pairing after it is plugged in for charging. If I reset bluetooth it'll connect. then I can turn off the car and back on again and it will pair without interaction.

Looks like a bug, but there is an annoying work around.

I have a 2008 Prius and the Verizon iPhone 4. I'm unable to pair it at all. The Prius says to enter the 4 digit code but the iPhone does not recognize the car. I've called both Apple and Toyota to no avail. Any suggestions?

Apple prides itself on great design. Too bad they weren't guided by that with Bluetooth on the iPhone 4. My old 3G worked perfectly with a 2011 Subaru. iPhone 4? Nope. I have to manually reconnect every time I get in the car.

I read a comment somewhere on the Web (I forget where) by someone who has access to the iOS 4.3 beta, and he says that iOS 4.3 corrects all of the Bluetooth problems that people have been reporting. I hope s/he's right, and I hope that Apple will release v 4.3 soon.

My problem was that my Verizon iPhone 4 would not reconnect or auto-reconnect to Bluetooth after disconnecting for any reason such as walking out of range or turning the Bluetooth headset off and back on. I finally rebooted the iPhone and the problem magically went away. I thought you didn't have to reboot iPhones to fix problems, but apparently with Bluetooth you do. By the way, the Jabra Wave headset is awesome! (although you do have to superglue the eargel in one position to keep it from rotating to weird angles in your pocket). I purchased iphone 4 on Verizon on feb 11, 2011 and it synchs with my 2007 Toyota Sienna minivan BUT no one can hear me at all, only I can hear them. I guess I have go back to my BlackBerry Bold, where everything works as it should. Better luck next time Apple. Maybe the 5th time will be a charm.

For what it's worth BlueTooth does work with my Pantronics Discovery 640 but i'm told I sound a little like in in a tin can. I've not heard that feedback when I used it with my BlackBerry.

I just got a 2011 Prius IV. I did not get the NAV upgrade.

I have an iphone 3G fully updated. I am able to setup the blue tooth so phone calls work fine. The car has a aux jack (similiar to the headphone jack) and I am able to use this jack to play my ipod music from the 3G phone through the car speakers....BUT, I would like to do this wirelessly through the blue tooth so I do not have to use the wire but cannot figure out how to accomplish this.

Sounds like Apple iPhone 4 for VZW has some bug in the Bluetooth. I have the same issue as above with pairing goes OK however repairing does not work. Unless I toggle Bluetooth on and off. Apple help us out here with a fix, maybe 4.3 will do it?

Well, that's that! Apparently Apple either is not going to release a version of iOS 4.3 for the Verizon iPhone 4 but rather wait for iOS 5, or iOS 4.3 will be delayed for some reason, who knows for how long. This is a real disappointment, if the reports that 4.3 fixes the Bluetooth problems are true.

Same type of issue for me. I have a Jabra Cruiser 2 that worked perfect with my previous phone. Pairing with the iPhone 4 CDMA goes well, but when reconnecting, 19 out of 20 times I must turn bluetooth off/on on the iPhone and then turn my cruiser off/on.

They should at least approve an app in the store that allows you to quickly and easily turn bluetooth off and back on.

For some odd reason, my Verizon iPhone seems now to be connecting nearly every time to my 2010 Prius without difficulty. Only rarely is there a problem, which I can fix by rebooting the iPhone. I have no idea why it seems to be working so well after such a rocky start, but I'm certainly not complaining!

I'm having similar problems as described above.

I have an 07 Acura TL and cannot re-pair my Verizon iPhone after turning the car off. I did not have this problem with my Blackberry Tour. In other words, I can pair the iPhone, but when I turn the car off and turn it back on, the iPhone and car will not re-pair.

I have tried resetting network connections, rebooting the iPhone, and RESTORING the iPhone--none of the above has worked. The iPhone will re-pair if I turn off bluetooth on the iPhone (via Settings > General) and turn it back on. This is quite annoying coming from a phone (Blackberry Tour) that flawlessly re-paired with my car.

Apple support has basically thrown their hands up as if to say, "We have no idea how to fix this."

Thoughts?

Will iOS 4.3 fix this?

Sometimes mine won't pair in the Venza. I go to make a call, and it says phone not connected. I push the "offhook" button, and there is a choice to (that doesn't gray out when driving!) that says connect. Push it, your phone will display, push again, and it should connect....works everytime. No rebooting the phone....

There is definitely a bug in BT for the CDMA phone. My BT connection drops occasionally and has numerous problems if I'm in and out of the car a lot in one drive. Apple, please fix this and release an upgrade soon!
