Gmail error "The user name or password for Gmail is incorrect"

some of us have 2 step verifaction on, so the captcha wont work,

This is what you do, Click on this link

https://accounts.google.com/SmsAuthConfig

enable 2 step verification on your google account.

then type in the password genator box, iphone gmail click generate

it will generate some long redicelous password, then click on mail in the settings of your iphone, then gmail, then put your email address in, your account description. then put the generated password in as your own, ignore the spaces and there you go all fixed.

if you want to sync your contacts and icloud, instead of gmail, click on microsoft exchange then leave domain blank, type your email address in as user name, put your generated password in as your password and m.google.com for the server, now you can backup all your stuff to your google account cheers
