I've only noticed this just this past week. My itunes is working perfectly but whenever I go to the store, it goes blank. Sometimes it will load and you can see the website then when the bar hits the end (finishing loading) it goes blank again.
No answer from Apple so far. I have never done an illegal dl, but idk how long I feel like waiting to pay Apple for the songs I want to add to my iPod. This is a customer service foulup, and I haven't got hours to spend fooling with something I am pretty sure is Appl'es isue anywya.
Agreed. I can't dl the new version now, anyway. I don't want it, but if Steve Jobs is going to put me in a half-nelson so I must run the new version, I'll do it. HOW?
Had the same problem as everyone else and per the suggestion to upgrade to 10.1.2 I did it and....ta daaaaa...I have access to Itunes store once again. For those who don't get the prompt to upgrade when opening Itunes, go to Help and Check For Updates and download it. it takes a good 15 minutes to download, but when you go back into Itunes it should work. Good luck to all.
I'm having the same problem, i would upgrade to itunes 10, but my dad's worried that his ipod (the first one with a dock connecter) won't work with it... anyone had any experience with them and itunes 10?
Halp?!
I am having the same problem as a lot of you are having. I try to get into my itunes store and it seems to want to go to the store and the store screen flickers and then goes blank...
Same problem (Using iTunes 9, since there is nothing in iTunes 10 that I care for)
This might be just a poorly handled bug (two weeks and no official response) or a glitch to force users to upgrade but some people are reporting this bug with the latest iTunes.
Luckily for me, I only buy a part of my music from iTunes anyway. So, I guess I'll take my business somewhere else in the meantime.
My daughter had same issue tonight. I thought it was parental controls I had set - but quickly found it was doing the same for me when I logged on. We were running iTunes 9.0. After several attempts at other fixes, I downloaded and installed the new iTunes 10.whatever. After a system reboot, the iTunes store worked perfectly.
I have been having this problem of my Itunes store window going blank and have finally figured it out, thanks to a post I read on another site. It's a Parental Control issue. The store window used to work for me and I have never before done anything with the Parental Control preferences, so I don't understand why it all of a sudden changed. Here's the fix! Go under Edit - Preferences - Parental Control -Where it say's disable, check ITunes Store and then check Allow access to Itunes U. That did the trick for me, although checking the box in the disable section doesn't makes sense. I haven't tried to buy anything since from the store, so I'm not sure if that is going to be an issue, but give it a try and let me know!
I was in error when i assumed it was parental control! In the previous steps I had mentioned the only thing that it did was show me content on Itunes U which showed me what looked like educational books. What is funny though is that I can view that in the window just fine. You have to deselect Parental Options to get to the Itunes store which still goes blank.
