I have been using my iPod for about a week now and am having the same issue. It states that the workouts have been uploaded, but they are not showing up. This was one of the main reasons I purchsed this unit.
Spoke to someone at Nike+ and they told me that their dedometer site is down until the fall. They suggest using the run function instead until the new site debut. I hope it happens sooner than that and they also stated that the data is still kept in the iPod and when the site goes live it will acknowledge our past efforts. This latter statement is questionable to me as I can't believe the iPod can retain that data or that the data is retained somewhere else, but again that is only my opinion.
Just set up my first iPod and I am getting the same results. Run data and Pedometer data syncs in iTunes to nike+ but only the run data shows. I guess they still haven't fixed the issue yet.

"At this time, pedometer workouts cannot be uploaded to nikeplus.com through iTunes. Depending on your specific configuration (iPod nano generation, iTunes version, etc.), you may receive either an error message or no response if you attempt to upload pedometer data.
The Nike+ team may create an upload option for iPod nano pedometer users in the future. We appreciate your patience as we work to implement this option, and we encourage you to keep tracking your steps in the meantime."
