iTunes store won't connect

Yesterday, Feb 16, 2010, I tried to connect to iTunes store and it would load for a few seconds and then go completely blank. So I thought maybe it was time to give into the iTunes prompt and download the new version. 10.1.2 or whatever. Well now I cant connect tot he store at all, receiveing error message 3212--cannot connect to iTunes store unknown error occurred, saying to make sure my network connection is active (as it surely is because I can still access the internet just fine)). I have uninstalled mcafee security center--didnt help. I even tried disabling my windows firewall completely--didnt help. Same message --3212 and all that. What do I do? I use the iTunes store two or three times a day as Im a very big music lover, but I am quickly losing my patients. I have not been able to connect for over 24 hours now. Can someone please help me?

Well, after what seems like months my itunes is back up and running correctly. I had the same problems as everyone else, itunes store would load briefly and then I would get a blank screen and would be unable to buy anything. Then I had the usual Apple box pop up that said I could update my itunes and did I want to do it. Normally I say no as I was quite happy with what I had when it was working properly but this time I said yes. It installed the updates for me and I opened itunes fully expecting my music to have disappeared but surprise surprise everything was still there and even better the store was also there. So to anyone still having problems when Apple ask if you want to install the updates just say yes. Hope it works for you.

Ok well here is what worked for me. Im using CA security suite and after a fair bit of browsing discovered the itunes blank store screen problem seemed to be connected to the LSP stack (whatever that is). I then noticed that the email protection was not working in the CA suite and it turns out the problem is connected to the same LSP thingy (tech term) which they provided a solution to by using a free programme called "LSP.fix" to remove conflicting files by following their instructions. I also had to uninstall and reinstall the security suite but the itunes store is all fine now. The page is at

http://cainternetsecurity.net/Kb/kd.aspx?KDId=93 if you want to have a look. I hope that helps.

I have the same problem too! And it's been going on since around about the New Year. In a way I'm glad to hear it's not only me, but very surprised that nothing has been done to correct this! Could it be the new iTunes version? I never had these problems before...it's a bit unnerving because I can't update my iPhone nor my iPad.

It does sound like this is one for apple. So, please apple, can you get this fixed???

/both annoyed and frustrated
