Alternative to Adobe Flash Player for PowerPC G4

I was looking at a web site today and having an issue with the logging out/change profile update for the site. Site said I needed to have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. I took a quick look at the Adobe site, uninstalled the old version of FP, then tried to install an updated version. Then the problems began...can't make any sense of the Abobe site...about all I have been able to figure out is that FP 10 doesn't work on a Power PC. Needless to say, I am a bit frustrated about all this. The web site (HornbyEagles.com) doesn't work; YouTube doesn't work. A.r.g.h.h.h!

Anyone have any suggestion (other than a new computer)...perhaps an alternative to FP??? If I need FP 9, which version? Thanks in advance...I'll try almost anything.

P.S. And I have added this http://www.verticalforest.com/2010/10/27/youtube5-version-2/ (not work on facebook flash embeded if you delete flash plug in, so I keep the FPforFBPPC and add this youtube5v2), this player seem more stable and light than flashplayer.

I have tested this two plugs on a PowerPC G5 2*1,8 ghz with Leopard 10.5.8

Hello, I have a eMac.[Mac os x version 10.4.11] processor; 1.42. GHz Power PC G4 .Memory 1GB DDR SDRAM. Startup Disk; machd. and i've been having trouble downloading the latest flash player for it.cause i'm not sure exactly which one version is the right one. Can you please help me? thanx .

What about Mac os x version 10.4.11 w/ a Processor 1.42 GHz PowerPC G4, and a 1 GB DDR SDRAM Memory and a machd Startup Disk? ..I 'm not sure which is the right flash player for me. I can really use some help.

Hi Colleen, there is no good download for our forgotten PPCs. 😟

The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)

Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

You should also consider the Shockwave Player, which displays Web content that has been created by Adobe Director, much used for multimedia: For PPC Macs: http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Hi. I googled on youtube and found a way to upgrade my flash player to 11.5. There is also one for 11.7. Links were posted how to do it. I am running 2 G4 10.5's Leopard, and the 11.7 would not work well. The 11.5 works best. Also Unity Web Player is a great add on if your a game player. Version 2.6.1f3 works for Ppc.
