Novation Zero SL MKII & Logic 9 Pro Transport Controls... Help!

Hi...

I'm trying to get the transport controls on my Novation Zero SL MKII working with Logic Pro 9. I tried mapping them with the "Learn" method but I can't seem to get the "Record" button functioning properly and sometimes some of the other transports don't seem to work.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Right. I had a good look around and tested a lot of things... at one point, I noticed that on the mixer page some sliders were triggering a chanel volume as well as the master or output volumes and no matter how I attemtped to remap using Automap learn or manually inserting the values, I couldn't get it to behave. I also tested the transport behaviours and there was no change regardless of the loop on or off...

At this point, I opened the Environment. In here looked like I'd just opened the internet's man drawer. That's when I realised that the project I had been working off was originally someone else's and probably from a Logic template.

I closed Logic, restored Automap to default settings and closed it. I then opened Logic with a new project and saved that project as a new template and also saved the project. From here, the Novation worked as I'd expect straight away. Thanks seeren. Perhaps this will help others experiencing unusual behaviors in this way...

Now I want to work out where to save my Automap templates... every day is a school day.

...ok, well the above fixed the transport control issues, but I am still experiencing the issue with using the SL to control the logic mixer. I have a small project with 8 audio tracks and 4 midi tracks. I am using this project for a live performance and want to mute some of the channels at certain points... but for some reason using the SL to mute audio tracks 10, 11 or 12 also mutes midi tracks 6, 7, & 8 respectively. I haven't done anything in the environment, maybe I need to? I made sure to clear the existing mapping for the buttons I am using (the ones below the sliders) and slected them using the learn function... have I missed something or is using Automap and Logic not as easy at it first seems?
