Thank you TheAppleChamp! This worked for me to get rid of the Wondershare audio device, which was a remnant of something I downloaded to try and record a streaming web player when my song was featured on the local Austin NPR station. I can't remember what the program was called, but i deleted it long ago and have not been able to remove that wondershare audio device. Until today!!!! Thanks again!

Do you have a link to "Boom-Preferences-Uninstall". I AM googling for it. 😉
I tried:
"
Thanks 😀 For everyone, click on "Go" in the finder menu, then "Go To Folder" Then copy and paste the following: /System/Library/extensions
Once in the extensions folder locate "Boomdevice.kext" and trash it."
It is not there. I did a "This Mac" Spotlight for "Boomdevice.kext". No results found
Finally I have reboot and restarted more than once for both.

I threw away my app, without doing an official uninstall. maumaria, your suggestion fixed it.
THANKS!
Open a terminal
cd to /Library and use "find" and grep to find Boom2 kernel extension
$ cd /Library/
$ sudo find * | grep -i boom
(output showing Boom2Device.kext is in the Extension subdirectory)
$ cd Extensions
$ sudo rm -rf Boom2Device.kext/
And then reboot.
A blydi terrible piece of software, pardon my Welsh, that made the sound worse not better.
Thank you this worked for me!
My macbook sound is very glitchy after boom - can you help me get rid of it -I've been trying for months.
Could you explain this a bit more - where to find this and what to do. My sound has been glitchy for a long time from Boom
Do NOT install MacKeeper. It is spyware and nearly impossible to remove. If you have uninstalled it already, you may not get the Settings pop-up window. This app is full of bugs.
Run these commands, one-by-one, in the terminal window. If you do not run them all, Boom2Device will re-install itself after a reboot.
sudo kextunload -b com.globaldelight.driver.Boom2Device
sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/BoomDevice.kext
sudo rm -rf /Library/Extensions/Boom2Device.kext
thank you so much! you are a life saver i tried everything and literally you were the last resort.. this worked for me for the original boom i just got rid of the 2 in the first and last command
Thanks, crappy boom device now removed, can now play music through my mac!
