iOS 4.3 has cut my 3G Internet connection

"Safari cannot open this page because you are not connected to the Internet."

When I am around my WIFI, I am.

Took me half an hour until it was back. Weird...

Mac OS X (10.6.6), Please don't tell me anything as useful as "re-format your hard drive" o.a.l.t.

Tried it and it didn't work for me.
But as it turns out, I can use my iPhone 4 (running 4.2 still, now wondering if 4.3 will introduce problems on it too) internet connection via Bluetooth.

So since I am using the 3G once or twice every month I might as well cancel the 3G subscription for my iPad and just connect it to the iPhone. 🙂

Same problem here, my ISP is Starhub (Singapore). Even though the status show a full strength 3G network, there was no internet connection at all.

Prior to upgrading to iOS 4.3, I do not have such problem. Now I need to turn on & off the flight mode a few times in order to get an Internet connection.

It is definitely a bug in 4.3. Hope Apple fix it soon.

Another work around :
1 Change the APN setting to something else(Maxis user Malaysia)
2. Open safari then it will work and online like normal.

If the 3g signal turn weak, on/off the cellular data will regain the signal , then error "safari cannot open the page becuse it is not connected to internet" will appear again. Then again repeat step 1 and 2 then it will allow to access again.
Notice that IOS 4.3 need a strong and stable 3g signal to run smoothly unlike previous version IOS 4.2.1

Well Apple pls resolve this ASAP cause this issue is really annoying...else pls let us downgrade to previous version.

I'm having the same problem in Germany.

3G reception shows all five bars, but I have no Internet access. If I then additionally switch on Wi-Fi and browse to a web page and then switch off Wi-Fi again, I can continue browsing thereafter just on 3G. It's as if using the Wi-Fi connection "unblocks" the 3G connection.

I've tried out the above steps numerous times, and each time the problem and workaround are reproducible.

I do not have an iPad but an iPhone 4 which showed the same symptoms. None of the workarounds worked for me, but I could solve it by doing the following:

- Go to settings, general, network
- Scroll all the way down and press "Reset settings". This will clear all settings.
- Re-enter the network settings

After this, I was able to connect to the Internet again.

Same problem here in Singapore. I'm on service carrrier called M1. I leave my Ipad on airplane mode to save battery power and only go off airplane mode when i need the internet. I check my emails, etc with my Iphone 3gs. Iphone doesn't seem to show any internet problems since the4.3 upgrade but Ipad can't connect to the internet despite having full strength of internet connection. Toggling the airplane mode on and off a couple of times seems to work. Going to Settings-general-network-cellular data and toggling it a couple of times seems to work at times at well. but nothing is 100% Come on Apple! Help fix this! In the meantime I am trying to resync the ipad to see if that helps.
