Lost all the sound on my iPad game apps

There is no sound when I play my games anymore. This is the second time I've had problems with sound. I already had to switch out one iPad. I have a lot of apps and info on this one. I don't want to start all over again.
Anyone eLse have specific sound problems? My iTunes work, videos work. I can hear them all. But not game sounds.

And sound is half the fun with angry birds.

You've checked the notification mute / side switch and/or Control Centre ?

Had the same problem with my IPad Air. Switched button setting to mute muted it and switched it back to lock rotation. Sound came back. Thank you so much for your help.

Hank you so much!!! I looked at my volume, apps volumes and couldn’t find where any mute buttons/silences in my settings were. This was a simple fix, thanks so much!!
