XCode 4 installation is stuck

I tried to install XCode several times but it gets stuck every time. By the way I bought XCode in Mac Appstore.
What's the problem?
Thanks!

Mac OS X (10.6.6)

I don't know if this solves anyone else's problem, but maybe it helps: The installer just errored on me without explanation, but /var/log/install.log mentioned that there wasn't enough free space on my volume (approx 9,5G free). Deleted about 2gigs, and it seems to be installing fine now.

Same problem here.
I've previously uninstalled the older version of xcode: sudo /Developer/Library/uninstall-devtools --mode=all.
Then launched the Install Xcode app in my dock (purchased directly from Mac App Store) but it stucks around 98%. Here is an extract from the log file /var/log/install.log:

The installation seems to be successful.
Do you think that is now safe to remove the Install Xcode from the HD, to free space up? (anyway, I burned it on a dvd).

I download the xCode app on Mar 24th. Ran the install and about half way through the install everything stopped. The icons started disappearing from the desktop then everything stopped. Finder would no longer worked and the Mac Book Pro (OS X 10.6.7) was completely hosed. Had to power off. Then the Mac would not start and would not repair from the Mac install disk. Had to reinstall Mac OS X from CD and restore from backup. Tried again with a new xCode download and the same thing happened. This has cost me a huge amount of time and headache and I am major ****** at Apple. Not sure I want to try again. Can't afford the 4 hours to get backup from Apples crashing my Mac. Plus I lost 2 days of work which was not on my Time Machine.
Any one else with this problem?

Quite disappointed that Apple are now charging for this, I thought it was free based on what I had read on the developer website. Nevertheless, I bought the application only to find that it freezes around 98%. I've just tried the trick mentioned earlier in this thread and that has worked. Just disappointed that I'm paying for an official Apple application that doesn't even install correctly when it did in prior, free versions. This was the first application I bought in the Mac App Store and I'm not impressed. I'm also not impressed that each update is 4GB in size.

Disappointing, Apple. I have faith that you'll fix this soon, but not impressed at all... especially considering that you take 30% of revenue from app developers already.
