Error -50 on start up and error 1008 cannot login

Hello everyone,

big problem! When I open iTunes I get an Unkown error occurs (-50) but nothing else happens, I tried to sync my iphone and I was informed I was not authorized on this comp (which i should be) I went to authorize/ log in and am getting, "We could not complete you iTunes Store request. An unkown error occurred (1008) this is when I try to login, authorize or do anything related to my account, Also when I try to create new account I get the same line except with error code 5002, my itunes store works and I can browse, I just cant sign in, I plan on buying an iPad today, dont know how I will sync it if I cant get this figured out! please help!

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

Check you system profiler under apple symbol>About this mac>More info...>Network you should see all of you network info look for

Type: Ethernet

Hardware: Ethernet

BSD Device Name: en0 <---- if this doesn't say en0 the that could be your problem I read the app store only connects on en0.


This worked for me: Go to System Preferences>Network and hit the - symbol at the bottom of the network adapter list. I deleted all of them because I only needed ethernet but you may want to start with whatever one you are trying to connect with.


Then

"go to the Finder and select Go To Folder…

Enter /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and hit Enter

Delete NetworkInterfaces.plist (enter your password)"

Reboot


Go to the Preferences>Networkand hit the + symbol and add Ethernet or Wireless whatever you normally connect with.
