Significant light leakage, few light botches on sides/corners - defective?

Actually I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but thought I'd share my experience here. Very disappointing, but certainly completely usable until I can exchange.

Hoping it's one of those strange manufacturing things where it "needs to settle," but I doubt it.

Note that I have an iPad 1 also, and it definitely doesn't have this problem.

I have no need to see any E-Mail. And now that you are dealing with the top dog, you can stop bothering the users here on the forum? I mean, there's no longer any need to complain here, since Steve is reading your e-mails, right? Isn't that basically what you wanted? Someone at Apple to listen to you?

I emailed jobs and cook and I got a phone call from their executive response team within a few hours...There's tons of reports on various sites of jobs corresponding with people...they are good guys, and Apple has probably the best support in the world -- but they're not telling us what we need to know -- when will they start shipping devices that do not have defective screens. I guess it's pointless...they don't want to make the issue public and have everyone panic...At this point it's just "Wait and see" -- but I digress to my earlier point -- if anyone actually gets a GOOD iPad 2 without a display problem, PLEASE let us know and PLEASE take a picture of it! This is very important.

iPad-2 Light Leakage: Just wanted to document that my new ipad 2 has visible light leakage, as viewed in Safari with a black screen you can see it along the lower & upper left corners. It looks more of a yellow tinge and barely noticable. I understand supplies are constrained right now and the ipad is definitely usable & i will wait for a latter date to exchange this as supplies come available and no lines to wait in. Can't blame Apple, and still very happy with product. If it was the settling of the yellow tinge matting sufaces, it has not changed since the launch date, but will wait and monitor to see if it gets better or not.

It's an iPad problem. I waited in line for 3 hours and then I got this issue on my new iPad. I brought it back a week later and the store told me they were out of iPad 2's, but after talking to them they went to the back and got me a new one and this one has the same problem. I think I will wait a month or two now to get a new one to see if they fix it. I would love for apple to address it.
