Prepared for shipment!

Not sure about that blues334. Mine was engraved and is already Prepared for Shipment (ordered at 3:52 am EST on 3/11 - Wifi +3G black 16 gb AT&T).

Mine is not engraved, but it is still not shipped.

My white 16 GB with engraving is shipped! 🙂
But, it is scheduled to arrive when I am out of town. 😟
This is, actually, all part of the plan. I get back from working/I play with iPad.
I ordered at 1:15 AM PST, btw. (Sat there for at least ten minutes trying to get my brain to register that yes, I had ordered white and yes, the engraving is spelled right.)

ETA: Whoops, I got it wrong. It's scheduled for delivery Thursday. Oh-oh. I mean, goodie! I better get some stuff done by then.

64G, Black, WiFi only w/engraving now shows prepared for shipment. Ordered 4.01 am 3/11. How long normally between prepared for shipment and actual shipping? BTW my smartcover was shipped on the 3/12 with a delivery estimate of 3/17. Unlike what another poster said about the smartcover being shipped from Sacramento, mine is coming from the Shenzen, China location.

I was wondering the same thing- the average time between 'prepared for shipment' status and actual ship date?

Yankeegal, my original ship date was 3-5 days with delivery of March 18-25, so it's well within tolerance. It usually takes 5-7 work days to for FedEx ground to reach the Midwest from the west coast, so I'm planning on a date much closer to 3/25. Still, 3/17 would have been nice...

Oh, my smart cover is arriving today from Memphis. It's a day ahead of schedule.

Thanks, slpsee. I was hoping for sooner too because my smartcover was delivered Saturday morning--3-5 days sooner than originally estimated.

In any case, I was thrilled to see Prepared for Shipment, WITH engraving and can't wait to see that status change to "SHIPPED"!

I ordered my 64GB White WI-FI model at 1:05 PST on Friday morning. Shipment has shown “Prepared for Shipment” since late Friday. I am wondering what “Prepared for Shipment” really means?

Thanks for posting...you gave me some hope. My order pretty much mirrors yours. I ordered the 64G, Black, WiFi only without engraving at 4.01 am 3/11. My order still has not been touched though. If it does not ship today dont think i'll receive it this week 😟

Mine still has a status of not yet shipped. I ordered the
Wifi + 3G Black 64GB AT&T at 4:02am EST friday. But the smart
cover I ordered shipped and should be coming by thursday. So
I hope my iPad2 ships by tomorrow so I have a chance of
getting it by friday. If not I know I won't get it till next
week.

Looks like other than the 16GB model for the 3G version, 32 or 64GB versions with 3G hasn't started shipping from the online purchase. My order is for 32GB Black with AT&T 3G model and was placed at 12:40AM PST (3:40AM EST) and seem to be ahead of most people posting on this forum. And they are still in "Not Yet Shipped" state while I have already received my covers already. Apple simply didn't make enough of those models OR there is a problem with the 32/64 in conjunction with the 3G.

Has anyone received such a model from the in-store purchase?

My 16 gb wifi + 3G now states prepared for shipment. I wonder too how long it'll be before it changes to shipped. I would really like it this week.

My white 32GB 3G, ordered at 12:57 am pst March 11th, left china on saturday. Currently in Hong Kong.

They must have looked at your participation on the forum and manufactured a special one for you ahead of others. My order differs from yours by color only. In fact, I have two orders for the same model - one ordered @ 12:40AM and the 2nd @ 12:42AM.
