iPad 2 Shipping

Then maybe it has to do with existing inventory on Mar 11 which might have depended on what was selling the fastest. Looks like the white ones were in less demand and I made the mistake of going with the black one like my original 3G 32 gig. I have never used more than like 8 gigs since I got the darned thing on day 1 so the 16 GB is probably all I really need but I was thinking that with the video cams I might make a few movies but I will most likely put them up on YouTube anyways. Bid is up to $1025 on an iPad 2 3g 32 gig on e bay right now with 8 minutes to go...just ridiculous. I am demanding that for the iPad 3 that they go back to pre-ordering so there is not all this mess. Steve, where are you when we need you.

Why is Apple taking for ever for my ipad!!! They suck with Shipping!!!!! you would think you caugh up 800$ and you would get fast shipping!!! Apple you suck!!!! and I ordered mine on Macrh 11 @ 1:08 to be exact!!!! bring me my ipad fedex!

i ordered mine on the 15th and have no clue where it is its said to be shipped out on april 19 and to be here on the 22 *** going down and how do i track it im pretty sure the time has nothin to do with engraving......any anwsers....thanks..

cjm, once it ships you will get an email from Apple with your tracking # and info. You can't track it till then because there is nothing to track.

Mine was engraved and did ship fast but now its suck in Hong Kong maybe my ipad is touring around?> site seeing??? lol

Mine left Anchorage at 8:01 pm. If it's the flight I am looking at on flightaware.com (http://flightaware.com/live/fleet/FDX?;offset=20;sort=ASC;order=actualdeparturet ime) it should get to Memphis around 12:20 am CDT and then off to the northeast, which means it SHOULD actually be out for delivery to me by tomorrow morning 🙂

I was awake and kept refreshing the web screen every few minutes.
My order was completed according to their system on: Mar 11, 2011 at 12:49 AM PDT, or 03:49am EST.
All 3 accessories have shipped, the only item that has not shipped is the IPAD WI-FI 3G 32GB BLACK-USA.

Clearly my email order acknowledgment reads,

My order was clearly one of the early ones placed on Apples website.

Since I ordered on a Friday, when they say ships in 5 business days, is Friday considered to be the first business day? If so, Apple has let me down.

If Friday is not considered the first business day, they then have 24 hours to send me an email which say's my iPad has been schedule for shipping.

Is there anyone else who ordered within the first few minutes of their website opening up for sales that has not received a shipping notification?

I did not have any engraving done to the iPad.

howard, I have pretty much same config and order date/time as you and was stuck with the not yet shipping. I called a couple times this morning to Apple customer service and asked why my order had no status change for being an early order. I got usual spiel that it's within 3-5 business window, but the rep did change the shipment method from standard to priority. I also asked where my unit is shipping from it's coming within the U.S. but she couldn't say from where. If this is true, at least it doesn't have to cross the ocean.

After these phone calls, the order status changed to preparing for shipment; coinkydink? not sure!

those who ordered on the early of the 11th is consider lucky most of you have your ipad by now. unlike me who ordered on the 12th at 10AM now have to wait for 3-4 weeks, that's a month before i get mine. i really dont understand why i would take so long for them to ship them out. even thou it's very in high demand but really? does it take that long.
why cant they just let people know know which stores well have them and when, instead of keep guessing and trying to catch it at the apple store.

White Ipad 2 16gb Wifi.... Ordered 2am last friday. Here is where I stand. Not sure if its helpful to any one else, but hey 🙂

Well, I'm not one of lucky early ones as I was a good little Apple bot and ordered at 1AM, on the 11th, and my ipad is still not shipped. Sold my original iPad today on Ebay for $450, so it's reset, packed and ready to go to it's new home as soon as I receive payment, probably tomorrow. So no iPad for me until the iPad 2 arrives......... We Rule ***** on iPod! LOL
