iPad 2 Shipping

Yuo, sahilio.... it left Anchorage at 05:35 PM local time and gets to Oakland at 10:30PM PDT. 🙂

It isn't Apple's M.O. to charge you until it ships. You may have seen your bank account go down the amount, but that's to see if the money is there. They don't take the money until they ship. After you get your shipping, you get an invoice. That's when you money goes. If your money has left and it hasn't shipped, check your account; it'll be back.

Kinda stopped getting as excited because I'll bet my life I will have light bleeding. I haven't yet seen an single iPad 2 without it in person. My girlfriends iPad even has a bit actually.

I agree with the ending of this article.

Howard, I think it has to do with model. I too have a black,32g, wifi/3G on order after your order time. I have seen other models ordered after me being shipped already. Oh well, this is one screwed up process!

I just talked to Apple about the engraving. They advised there is only one place in the world where they are engraved, in Asia. So they go from the factory to this other place in Asia and back. I was horrified. I would not have wasted the time and resources no matter who was paying for it because of the gas and other resources used to transport it for something frivolous. Apple should have revealed this so we could have made a more informed decision. Plus that trip delays the arrival of my new iPad 2.

Yellekk, mine is engraved and was shipped on 3/15, being delivered tomorrow. I don't think that's too bad even with the trip to Asia for engraving.

just talked to a lady who basically repeated what i can read for myself on the general tracking website, so i mentioned what i see on the more detailed website, and she reiterated that it was in transit on the way to my city but couldn't give me any more detailed info. also says its still on time. im just confused. i should probably just go to sleep after a long a** day at school lol what will be will be...

There is only one place in the world where the iPad 2 is engraved. Somewhere in Asia. The guy I spoke with said it had to be sent there and then shipped back. So if you get it engraved it will definitely take longer.

Ordered 64G, WiFi, 3G and cover @ 4:30am on the 11th. Got the cover yesterday, iPad still hasn't shipped. Slowest shipping I've ever had from Apple......

hahaha that pretty much sums it up!

the whole tracking thing is really whats irritating. i like to know my info. period. i don't mind if its delivered next week, but don't give me a delivery date 4 days ago or when it ships and then keep pushing it back or being unclear.
