@wurt Mine is out for delivery too! 😀 Hope they all had a nice trip over from China together! Seems to be a lot of us getting them today. Only 1 1/2 hours left to wait!

UPS is playing with my emotions.. My tracking was showing an early delivery date of today, but now it's gone, and showing in transit (to my local depot)... I hope it makes the cut off!

@ihartsnape -- me too. It missed the cut off but it is shipping via Fed Ex. Whoo hoo.

Looks like 5/24 -- a day later then the original arrival date from Apple.

@ Soundwarp Congrats! Mine just arrived.... I will know better next time to not follow the darn tracking. Shipping notification from Apple on the 13th said it would be delivered today and it was. I have driven myself crazy watching it appear to sit in China since the 14th, untill yesterday afternoon when the tracking started to update and until it finally showed out for delivery this morning. At least I know I wasn't alone in my anguish. 🙂 Good luck everyone on your deliveries. A word to the wise, those of you reading this disucssion who have just seen your ipad scanned in China for shipment.... be ready for a rollercoaster ride as you try to follow the tracking of it!

UPDATE: I just got my iPad today! After calling UPS a few times they told me that they cleared it through customs and luckily I only live a few hours away from Louisville so I got it the same day it arrived.

My iPad is shipping by Fedex. I got the shipping notice today and it keeps switching the delivery dates between May 23 and 24. Has the happened to anyone else?

Ahhhhh!

My iPad 2 just shipped today yet it wasn't supposed to ship until Monday! The new delivery date was changed from next Thursday to next Monday! Hooarhh!

Mine is still in Lantau, scheduled for delivery the 24th.

I'm a little worried though. They had deducted the cost of the Ipad from my debit card last Friday, but now today, there's no record of the $ ever being deducted....

Just checked my tracking for the hundred thousandth time - lol - mine has finally arrived in Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

Just wanted to add, so no one has to look back and search if interested, I ordered my 64 GB WiFi Only iPad 2 on May 5th; it changed to prepared for shipping on May 17th; it shipped via Fed Ex on May 18th; and now it is in Lantau Island, HK.

If you used a debit, they did not actually charge the account, but got an authorization. They do not actually charge the account until it ships. The authorization automatically drops within a certain number of days if it is not confirmed by apple.

I'm with you, DMB. When I got notification that my order had shipped, the UPS tracking site had an expected date of delivery (Monday, the 23rd by 10am). Now when I look, it just says In Transit with no information about an expected delivery date. I had planned to work from home that day so that I would be there to receive it, but now I'm wondering if I should do that or not. I guess the tracking info will get updated between now and then and I can make a choice on Monday morning.

So I got my iPad, and it has SOME light leakage, I was going to keep it... Until I noticed a few DEEP scratches on the back.

Called Apple, it's going back today, they did give me a free iPad HDMI adaptor, and are going to work on getting me a brand new unit shipped out. (sooner than ordering it from the site)

I'll call back on Monday/Tuesday to see if they were able to source one.
