@pcsmarts Thanks for the advice. I'll check into having them hold it at the warehouse for me and picking it up. I'm taking summer classes in college right now, so I'm concerned about not being at my house when it's delivered to sign for it. I definitely don't want to miss the shipment.
I ll not be home tomorrow from 9 am until sunday morning, and UPS is going to deliver tomorrow.
Do you know what time do they start working? Did you ever get an UPS package before 8 am?
@Ventuss UPS typically will only delivery before 8am if there have an early release package. There is an additional fee. You could call and see if your local hub can have them hold it at that location and pick it up before the driver packs it in the truck.
I have had them do that before.
Sometimes they are understanding and will work with you.

apple just sent an email apologizing because ups delayed my ipad.. it was supposed to be here today, not tomorrow.. I'll try to call them.
@ DowneMixedBoi so sorry to hear about your iPad. Hope you get a replacement right away. After all you've been thru you would think they would let you keep that one until the new one came. What do you mean by leakage? I'm new to apple. At least you know the tracking routine this time around. Good luck

My order seems to be following the same path.
From earlier in the thread, this link seems to give a little more info than the one from the UPS site - namely where it's headed. The UPS tracking for mine says only that it has left Chengdu, but Yahoo's site (using UPS data) says that the destination city is Louisville, KY. Good news for me as I'm in Lexington, not far away. Probably good news for steve, as well. Not sure about Ikka.

That is good news. What do you think? Any chance for delivery on Saturday for us? I live in the Dayton area. Apple hooked me up with priority shipping....not sure if that includes Saturday delivery. I'd be more than willing to pay extra if it's even an option at this point.
I ordered the iPAD 2 on May 8th and two days ago it changed to prepared for shipment. I have seen no updates on my shipment and no emails from Apple. Is this normal?
You could preauthorize UPS to just leave it at your neighbor or your own door. Just go to the "Order Status" page on the Apple website and click on the Pre-sign for this equipment button.
Yes, it should ship soon.
Steve, I don't think UPS does any Saturday deliveries (unfortunately). I would love to be wrong, though!
