Prepared for shipping!
Ordered 32 GB Black AT&T on May 9.
I get an email everytime there is a post on this thread and it is really annoying. I checked "no" in all my email preferences and i still get it. How do i stop it?!
You can go up to "Your Stuff" in the top-right of this page and there should be a setting under "notifications" or "preferences" where you can shut this off.
Our iPads were (and possibly will continue to be) on the same flight. I'm on the west coast, so they might ship to Seattle before going on to Central Oregon.
@normfromTN - wow that is aweful. I wonder if the ipads are coming out of that plant. That will definately put a damper on upcoming shipments.
Mine just got into Anchorage Alaska -- delivery date still says Tues 5/24 but I am hoping it comes Monday.
I wonder what international shipment release means - did it clear customs?\
Does anyone know if if goes into memphis next?
@bkirby99 - Kind of wierd that we're still sitting in Anchorage isn't it?
I would have thought they'd be on the way to Louisville by now.
I am hoping they just missed the departure scan for some reason. Seems that most folks are only in Alaska a couple of hours. I hope there is no hold up.

While on this discussion, look on the top right of the page under Actions and click on Stop Email Notifications.....
Thank you!
So my iPad2 is finally in the area. What kills me is that its current location is literally just down the road.
I don't understand why items ship at different times when it appears as though they are ready at the same time. I didn't pay for either iPad on the order (I would never have paid that much money for a tablet.). However, it is easy to grow impatient when waiting on anything. The iPad that was ordered for my best friend shipped Monday while mine said Prepared for Shipment on Monday(What the **** does that mean anyway because it took four days to ship after that?). I don't understand why mine was "Prepared for Shipment" on the same day that hers shipped, but my iPad didn't ship until after her iPad was delivered to the house. Apple really needs to do a better job at managing these types of things. I'm not an Apple fan anyway, and this has definitely turned me off. It seems as though customer service is not one of their strongest attributes. I ordered both iPads, but I'm having to wait on my own when they were both ready at the same time. I still don't have my iPad yet. With products this expensive, expeditious service should be priority number one, in my opinion.
For the ones of you who can't check your order status, go to the website of the carrier and enter your tracking number into their website instead of clicking on the link provided in the Apple shipment email. You can still track your package that way until the Apple website comes back up tomorrow.
Sigh. Ordered my iPad on May 9th. It went to prepared for shipment on May 17th, but didn't actually leave the origin facility until May 21st. The original delivery date was May 25th, but now it's the 26th.
For some reason, my iPad is having a hard time getting out of Shenzhen. 😟
And here I thought I was going to do better with FedEx than with UPS. Looks like I was wrong...

Don't have a tracking number yet. Was prepared for shipping on Friday just before the website went down.
I ordered on May 9.
