bummer! I just got the notice that mine has been shipped (exactly ten days after ordering) after being prepared for shipment for about 36-48 hours, so it's hanging out somewhere in Shenzhen China. My original ship date was June 20, so it's 5 days early on that front, and the original delivery date was June 24 - now it's saying delivery will be by June 21. Either way, it works out well since I leave for vacation on June 25. My cases should be arriving today from Amazon, too. I got a clear Acase to be compatible with the smart cover (which I have yet to buy because I can't decide on a color), but it seems like the timing of everything is working out alright.
Can anyone tell me how long after their iPad went into "Prepared for Shipment" to actually being shipped? Mine changed status today, but the esitmated ship/delivery dates didn't change. They also charged my card today, which they don't do until it's ready to ship... which leads me to believe it should be here early. I ordered it on the 8th and my esitmated ship was the 21st and delivery the 27th. Does it usually take a few days to ship once status is changed, or has everyone seen theirs shipped the next day??
Congratulations to all those who have received their iPad 2's already! I'm currently waiting on mine. I ordered a white, 16GB, Wi-Fi only, engraved iPad 2 on June 6th, I was given an expected shipping date of June 20th and an expected delivery date of June 24th. On the 14th at 7:30pm my status went from Not Yet Shipped to Prepared for Shipment. Three hours later I received a tracking number. My expected delivery date generated by FedEx is June 21st. I've seen that with most U.S. orders shipped through FedEx it has only taken three days, so I'm hoping for it to be here by Saturday (the 18th). Hopefully my experience will provide some sort of time line for others to look at while they wait. Good luck to those still waiting.

My delivery date was originally the 28th of june, before i had called in and gotten 2-3 day shipping for 11 bucks, which moved the delivery date to the 27th of june, i just looked about 2 hours ago, and it was still the 27th, as of right now, it has changed to the 29th of june... Ill be calling apple again...anyone else have this happen? if so, what did you do?
Also, out of curiosity, does anyone know why some are shipped with UPS and some with Fedex?

excited! I hope it doesn't have much of a detour before coming to Los Angeles. It seems like UPS takes everything through Kentucky or something, but that the Fedex deliveries are a little more direct... I hope!

Does it mean the Requested delivery date is just for the customs to clear the parcels to the UK? Has anyone had that case of an ipad shipped to the UK? I am in the Northern Ireland.

I placed an order for iPad 2 in the online store two days ago in June 15. I got the estimated delivery time between Jun 28 and Jul 6. I am going to leave US in July 1st. Is there a chance that Apple will deliver until July 1st? Or better to cancel the order?
